Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a truly wonderful experience to witness the love and care the rangers have for the beautiful creatures in this sanctuary. The grounds and facilities are very well kept. All animals and birds look healthy and happy, being fed to suit their breed, needs and rehab. It was with so much pleasure (and good fortune given the weather I was the only visitor!) to experience the birds of prey, owls, and countless other aminals in the grounds as well as the petting barn. Chloe, Evie and Darragh were so connected to the animals and their role as carers. I truly appreciate seeing this bond and reciprocated love and joy. Thanks for a memorable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed this 3.8 mile /6.1 km walk though there were more inclines than some reviews suggested. Not very steep but something to mention if anyone has mobility issues. The paths are in good condition and level from side to side, so no need for "Haggis walking"
Great variety of views, as always remember to check behind you every so often, sometimes the view backwards is noteworthy too.
We got a great day for our walk though it was the second week of October.
The free car park can be found on Google maps by adding "Benbulben Walk" There's a coach park also, lots of spaces in the car park.

Had an amazing tour with Paul, very informative. We got a real feel for the family that lived there. We would have enjoyed more time to 'wander' the basement before Paul moved us on.
Staff at coffee shop were very friendly.
A few points worth noting, (and hopefully improving upon) ........Our group arrived in two cars, and both got lost with google maps.
The signage on public road needs improvment.
When we arrived 'just before car park', there was so many signs that both our drivers and others had to stop for a minute to 'work out' what they were saying !!!

Getting here is no joke. The roads are tiny and you feel like you're just leaving your car in a field. BUT it is soooo worth it! The signage isn't great so we didn't know if we could go through the gate or not - you can - but we enjoyed our walk anyway. It was cold and rainy and windy, but we pressed on, sharing space with all the sheep. I think part of the adventure was just not knowing where we were going or when we'd arrive. (We didn't see anyone else until we left and ran into the farmer who was tending his land and sheep.) The landscape was lovely and when we finally got to the top and found the tombs were were in awe. So impressive! We only investigated the first 2 because we were literally fighting the wind to stand upright, but it was worth it. This was one of the highlights of our 8-day trip!
(You can skip about 15 minutes of the walk each way by driving through the gate and parking a bit further up the hill. I think it took us about 45 minutes each way.)

We picnicked here on a cloudy day. Deep forest, a nice view up the lake, and shelter from the rain shower. An easy walk down to Lough Gill and a welcome escape from the narrow, winding roads.

A fantastic cocktail bar with an impressive selection of drinks. The margarita was delightful, but the real highlight was the exceptional band playing that night. They were incredibly entertaining, welcomed song requests, and created a lively atmosphere that brought everyone together with laughter and fun. I would highly recommend this bar!
