Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While at a mid term stay in Sligo with my family we visited the Eagle flying. This was a great experience, my kids are aged 7 and 4 and they loved it. Aisling was our guide, she knew her stuff and she has such passion for what she does.

Everyone if they want can have a turn of letting the birds perch on your arm. The petting area is small but plenty of animals to feed & pet. We all really enjoyed this and would recommend it as a place to visit.

The car park is a little bit of a walk away so give yourself a little extra time to arrive. It was pretty mucky because of the extensive rain fall so bring wellies if visiting in the winter.

A fairly hard hike to the top on very well made gravel and wooden steps. The wooden steps are spiked so provide good grip but make sure that you have good walking shoes, especially if it's rained anytime recently - it's West Ireland, it's always raining!
Getting down is a bit more daunting than going up but nothing too bad. There are a couple of ways up though so I can only speak for the coastal route coming from the Sligo Rugby Club.
The views are fantastic at the top and Queen Maeve's resting place is worth seeing - no idea how they got all those huge rocks up there!
It's windy, make sure you're suitably clothed and ready but it's worth it!

What a monolith! You can’t help but being amazed at Benbulb which dominates the county and the little villages and towns that rests under its shadow.

Beautiful area to go and relax. Beautiful views with many stopping areas.

Parking - There is several dedicated parking lots that are paved and easily accessible.

Many entry points to the beach or up to Bowmore Head Battery which you can see all the way down the coastline.

A visit to this beautiful, historical house is a must for fans of Irish history. Paul was a great tour guide, lively and personable. The tour itself however was perhaps a little rushed. The numbers on the tour were also quite large - I would suggest too large. It's also a pity that the house isn't in state ownership - as it's privately owned, the entire upstairs is off-limits.

The coach house has been turned into tea rooms, and although the space itself looks pretty, on a cold, wet and windy July day, the high ceilings and bare walls meant it was cold and uncomfortable to spend a few hours in before our tour started. There were also limited refreshments available - just a couple of traybakes, and tea and coffee.

On first ever visit to Strandhill heard there was a market on so decided to check it out and we really enjoyed it. Excellent layout and lots of outdoor seating. Would recommend.

We picnicked here on a cloudy day. Deep forest, a nice view up the lake, and shelter from the rain shower. An easy walk down to Lough Gill and a welcome escape from the narrow, winding roads.

This was my second time booking the tour on Lough Gill and it was just as fantastic as the first time. A combination of things makes it wonderful, the location, the equipment but mainly the people. Each time, from the booking to the welcome and on to the tour has been amazing. The guides are so knowledgeable about not just kayaking, but also history, geography, ecology, the flora and fauna of the area and much, much more. Our group this time had an age range of 11 to 81 and everyone is still talking about the great time despite the fact that it was lashing and freezing! If that’s not a positive sign then I don’t know what is!
