Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While at a mid term stay in Sligo with my family we visited the Eagle flying. This was a great experience, my kids are aged 7 and 4 and they loved it. Aisling was our guide, she knew her stuff and she has such passion for what she does.

Everyone if they want can have a turn of letting the birds perch on your arm. The petting area is small but plenty of animals to feed & pet. We all really enjoyed this and would recommend it as a place to visit.

The car park is a little bit of a walk away so give yourself a little extra time to arrive. It was pretty mucky because of the extensive rain fall so bring wellies if visiting in the winter.

A fairly hard hike to the top on very well made gravel and wooden steps. The wooden steps are spiked so provide good grip but make sure that you have good walking shoes, especially if it's rained anytime recently - it's West Ireland, it's always raining!
Getting down is a bit more daunting than going up but nothing too bad. There are a couple of ways up though so I can only speak for the coastal route coming from the Sligo Rugby Club.
The views are fantastic at the top and Queen Maeve's resting place is worth seeing - no idea how they got all those huge rocks up there!
It's windy, make sure you're suitably clothed and ready but it's worth it!

What a monolith! You can’t help but being amazed at Benbulb which dominates the county and the little villages and towns that rests under its shadow.

Really cool beach area with many Surfers and Surfer schools going on. The area has a bunch stores and restaurants for food and drink. Fun Place!

I went to the first session of the Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership 'Skate for your Gear' last night. I was terrified at first, but It was brilliant! Neville was so good, kind and patient with us all. He explained everything and guided us safely through our first tentative steps. I cant wait to go back next week :) Thanks so much Neville.

This was my second time booking the tour on Lough Gill and it was just as fantastic as the first time. A combination of things makes it wonderful, the location, the equipment but mainly the people. Each time, from the booking to the welcome and on to the tour has been amazing. The guides are so knowledgeable about not just kayaking, but also history, geography, ecology, the flora and fauna of the area and much, much more. Our group this time had an age range of 11 to 81 and everyone is still talking about the great time despite the fact that it was lashing and freezing! If that’s not a positive sign then I don’t know what is!

Had an amazing time! It was a great introduction to surfing! (For someone who had never done it before). Seamus was amazing! And showed both myself and my girlfriend all of the basic fundamentals to surfing. We had so much fun!

This was my third sea trail with Auriel. It was another wonderfully informative way to spend three hours learning about Sligo & in this case the Spanish Armada. Auriel ensured we were always comfortable as she shared her deep knowledge of this beautiful part of Ireland.

Done the hike up Benwiskin with my brother last Sunday and it was an amazing experience for my first time to do a hike like that. William and Barry are very good guides and looked after us very well. The weather wasn't bad either and we saw amazing views. Looking forward to the next hike!

Had a lovely time fishing with Daryl, he was so welcoming and friendly. We had never fished or was on a boat before and he was a pleasure to deal with. Would highly recommend Daryls boat for a family with a young child. It was the highlight of our stay in Sligo

29 March who'd have thought we"d be bobbing in Atlantic waves for a few hours. David provided toastie 5mm wet suits, helmets, gloves and booties. He knew where to pick out the best waves, arranged the lesson for the ideal tidal conditions, gave us excellent instruction and most of all the thrill of 'nearly'standing up several times. All with the backdrop of beautiful Sligo bay, the dunes and the blue sky. I highly recommend this for an afternoons entertainment.

Still the original and best. Tom and Elisha are fantastic and we've had so much fun on our surf lessons. Would recommend for anyone visiting Sligo.

We spent the May bank holiday in Sligo & booked a surf lesson for the Sunday morning. The location is perfect with ample parking & right beside the Strandhill Markets, bonus! There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere from start to finish. Tom & Abdel were friendly, encouraging & attentive and we never felt under any pressure. Tom took some photos too which was lovely. It was such an enjoyable morning & despite some sore arms today we all agreed we’d be back. We needed to leave a bit early & this wasn’t a problem. Wetsuits were in excellent condition with boots provided & the facilities were clean & hygienic. I’d definitely recommend to friends. 🏄‍♀️🙏🏼
