Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My advice if you are not particularly fit is to climb from the non-coast side. It can be slippier/muckier but I think less demanding than the new steps on the coast side.
Great view from the top and do read about Queen Maeve before you climb as it makes it much more meaningful.

What a monolith! You can’t help but being amazed at Benbulb which dominates the county and the little villages and towns that rests under its shadow.

Signs say park in the village, however there is quite a bit of parking at the base of the climb. The climb is strenuous enough but no problem for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. We met someone on his way up who suffrered from COPD and he was struggling. The climb is well worthwhile, as much for the views as for the caves

Worth doing as a stand-alone visit just for the views but definitely as a follow-on from the Rathcroghan guided tour where the mythology of the area and Queen Maeve are provided. Its a 40 min walk in from the car park and a 300 metre ascent so good footwear and good mobility are a must.
