Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A visit to this beautiful, historical house is a must for fans of Irish history. Paul was a great tour guide, lively and personable. The tour itself however was perhaps a little rushed. The numbers on the tour were also quite large - I would suggest too large. It's also a pity that the house isn't in state ownership - as it's privately owned, the entire upstairs is off-limits.

The coach house has been turned into tea rooms, and although the space itself looks pretty, on a cold, wet and windy July day, the high ceilings and bare walls meant it was cold and uncomfortable to spend a few hours in before our tour started. There were also limited refreshments available - just a couple of traybakes, and tea and coffee.

I was in Sligo for one month, the first week I was there I visited the Model and I found it fascinating. Recently they opened two other exhibitions and of course I had to go back and see them so I visited The Model one more time. The two new exhibitions are amazing and the cafè there is lovely. The staff is polite and very helpful. The building is completely accessible, with automated doors, a lift and corridors wide enough for wheelchairs.

I spent a good hour here and learned a lot more about WB Yeats. There was a great deal of Yeats memorabilia around the place. The on duty staff, Yeats enthusiasts as well were really helpful explaining things I was unclear about. This was a good use of €5 and I hope this place continues to develop as it helps us to come to grips with Yeats’s life and times.

The Castle is not much at all the days, but worth a visit.....There is an electric fence all around the property so you can’t get close- which is understandable. A beautiful spot In the world, filled w so much history. There’s a sign as you get to the area telling you all about the history. Castle is Enniscrone Castle these days, name changed over years w owners.

I have been in Sligo many times before but never visited this particular place. I am sorry that I had not because on this trip we found it historically and architecturally very good. Well worth the trip!
