Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Shane F3 contributionsWhen I die, I hope this is what heaven looks like. I saw reviews about the “food” or the “ weather” or the “terraine” and it compelled me to write this review.
This is in my opinion, a players track. Not for hacks or people who are “bored” during their travels. Its golf royalty, a slice of heaven. Who cares about the food, its a golf course. Of you want stellar service and great food go to NYC or Paris.
If and only if, you want the best of the best links style golf, if you want to feel closer to God, play this track.

- Philip K10 contributionsPlayed Strandhill for the first time, it's a fantastic course in top condition, a match for any course. It's a fun course to play with risk and reward holes. A must play when in the Sligo area.StrandWritten 8 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
