Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a wonderful day exploring sites around Dublin. Our guide, Derek, was so friendly and informative. A bonus stop at an artisan blacksmith shop was a highlight of the tour. All in all, a fabulous experience.

I did two full day tours with Hilltop. The first was a small group tour with Richard to Powerscourt, Wicklow and Glendalough. I loved the itinerary. Richard prepares you for your visit to Powerscourt and Glendalough and then you visit them at your own pace. There was sufficient time to see all the gardens at Powerscourt and have a bite to eat and there was enough time to see the highlights of Glendalough. The scenery is beautiful and Richard keeps you informed and entertained along the way. The second tour was a private tour with John Byrne. Being private, the tour was designed around my interests. Highlights were Bru na Boinne (visitor centre), Newgrange, Knowth, Monasterboice, Slane Castle, Trim Castle and a sheep farm. I had a fascinating time with John and learned a lot. Wonderful tour.

Having just completed the 10 day ultimate tour with Overland Ireland, I feel the need to let others know about the truly exceptional experience that it was and that I accredit most of this to our amazing tour guide Finn.
Finn is passionate about his job and it truly shows. He is intelligent, extremely knowledgeable and well versed. He has an ease about him as he guides you through this cultural tour recounting accent history, folklore, and current events. So Much knowledge and true passion for his country shows through.
Finn was fun and funny in a true Irish manor, always willing to share a great story or wee bit of knowledge. He had the ability to connect with each and every person on some level on our 15 person tour.
The tour hit all of the hot spots with some off the beaten path spots thrown in.
Tailoring our tour on a daily basis depending on weather, crowds and feedback form our group was refreshing. Feeling the need to stick to a timeframe but not a stringent schedule made this trip most enjoyable. Finn also had truly great suggestions for restaurants, pubs, and music. We had so many wonderful meals, topnotch food, and excellent live music experiences throughout our trip.
Accommodations were excellent at every stop. Some of the highlights were the Black Cab Tour in Belfast, bike riding on Inis Mor, and kayaking in Dingle Bay! All were amazing experiences!
I can not say enough about Finn and how grateful and lucky I feel to have had him as our tour guide. This is a tour not to be missed.
My heart is full. Thank you Ireland! Thank you Finn!
    Go raibh míle maith agat!

I went on a trip to Ireland for about 9 days as part of a group of young travelers.
Marcus was our local guide who was amazing, cordial, with good energies. The favorite part I had on the trip was hearing the local songs that Marcus sang to us that made me very happy, and visiting his backyard where we got food that his family and friend specially prepared for us, beers, soft drinks, desserts and lots and lots of distress! He and his family at the end of the meal played and sang us traditional local songs from Ireland, and international songs we are all familiar with and it was fun to sing together and feel a sense of home and brotherhood.
The hospitality in the backyard added a lot to the rest of the trip and it was magical and special.
The trip was definitely an extraordinary experience thanks to Marcus, and the staff! I had a lot of fun! Highly recommend Marcus!

We learned an incredible amount of history from a new perspective. It is a beautiful country with so much to offer. The Titanic Museum and the insight into “The Troubles” were highlights for us.

This was an awesome tour. Our guide, Mark, is such a lovely guide ! He was always there for everyone and made sure everyone got the best out of the tour. I cannot recommend this tour guide enough ! Thank you Mark !!
During this 6-day tour I really got an insight in Northern Ireland's past and present. The guided walks in Derry and Belfast were brilliant.
Then there is the natural beauty of the north and west coast of Ireland. We visited so many stunning locations like The Dark Hedges, The Giant's Causeway, Slieve League, Connemara National Park and The Aran Islands.
The accommodation on the tour is wonderful, too.
