Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great trip. Welcoming crew. Amazing scenery and an interesting commentary (although a few technical problems with sound). I would really recommend it.

Amazing ride with competent and lovely staff. Very good with young and inexperienced riders. Love walking through the ocean at low tide and seeing Croagh Patrick Mountain in the distance. Stunning!

Very detailed tour with lots of history about the family and the efforts that were taken to save the house. We went during the off season but I can imagine what it is like during the summer months when everyone can enjoy the beautiful grounds.

Mary and Carmel are excellent hosts and teachers, welcoming their guests no matter their baking skill level. This is a great way to learn about Ireland, its history, its food culture, the science of soda, and wonderful Irish humor. I would recommend doing this early in your trip, because you gain a nice understanding of the place and its people, as well as a bag of warm baked goods to enjoy as you continue your journey. Highly recommended!

Paul was outstanding in helping us to manage to fit in our first E bike experience after a long car trek from the North .
He made sure we were comfortable with our bikes , started us off in a area free from construction and gave us excellent guidance on distance , sights and breaks.
With our bikes on turbo, we were able to easily navigate rain and strong winds on our paths . Lovely restaurant - McLoughlins in Mulhanny for a warm drink and bite to eat. With Paul’s support and extra attention to customer service , it was a high point of our trip to Ireland . Love the Mayo Greenway !

    Pros:

    - No shuttle stress:

We were picked at 10 AM from our hotel and taken to Burrishoole. From there we biked till Achill Island (6 PM). Even took a detour to Mullrany Beach for a swim and coffee. We were super glad, we chose this service because we didn't feel rushed while enjoying the Wild Atlantic route.

    - High Quality bikes:

The bikes were in amazing condition, we were provided with variety of helmet options and a bike lock just in case. On our way back, he even showed us the less known biking route.

    - Great Service

This is not just a pick & drop service. Paul was an amazing guide. He was accessible at all times and took great care of us (right down to making sure, we crossed the road safely.) On our way to Burrishoole, he even shared little nuggets on the history of Westport and surrounding areas.

    Cons:

    - We wished we had stayed for more than 2 days. Or else, we would have taken this service again.

Excellent value. The outside belies the treasures within. Some really interesting artefacts. Our guide Simon was very knowledgable and it was interesting to hear how the museum had been developed. Well worth supporting this venture.

Fabulous landscape on very little frequented paths. We practically did not pass people during the 5 hours ride. The most of this ballad is certainly Paul who takes care of us and is inexhaustible when it comes to talking about his region.
He is flexible, caring and knows the area very well. Jeannine and Bernard

Another tour company informed us weeks before arrival that they missed our booking had no room for us. Fortunately Overland Ireland 10-day small group tour still had room for us. We did not know what to expect. Would we like the people on the small tour? will we have a tour guide that can engage us for 10days?
To summarize, we had the best 10 days travelling and finished wanting more. The group was diverse and we found new friends by the end. Our guide, Finn, made us feel, as a small group, that the tour was tailored to our wants and needs. He knew how to adjust the day to find us sunshine when we exited the vehicle on rainy days. Finn told stories that brought each place to life. This was a trip my spouse wanted to do and I was apprehensive. By the end of the tour I was loving the Irish culture and its uniqueness.
    Would I recommend this tour?
    Yes.
Thank you Finn and Overland tours. You created memories and experiences I will cherish and share.

We learned an incredible amount of history from a new perspective. It is a beautiful country with so much to offer. The Titanic Museum and the insight into “The Troubles” were highlights for us.

This was an awesome tour. Our guide, Mark, is such a lovely guide ! He was always there for everyone and made sure everyone got the best out of the tour. I cannot recommend this tour guide enough ! Thank you Mark !!
During this 6-day tour I really got an insight in Northern Ireland's past and present. The guided walks in Derry and Belfast were brilliant.
Then there is the natural beauty of the north and west coast of Ireland. We visited so many stunning locations like The Dark Hedges, The Giant's Causeway, Slieve League, Connemara National Park and The Aran Islands.
The accommodation on the tour is wonderful, too.
