I visited this garden with my partner and can confidently say coolwater gardens is one of the most beautiful little ecosystems I've ever seen with my own two eyes. the owners brought us around and taught us all about the different plants they have, where they came from and how they respond to the Irish enviorment. we don't know anything about plants- but questions were encouraged! absolutely stunning spot to spend a few hours. our tour was ended with refreshments and chats in the heart of the garden. 10/10, hope to visit again.
    lots of love,

I led a group here in May. It was amazing. Brian gave us a great tour of the sites - filled with archaeological, local knowledge, and folklore A real treat. Would highly recommend.

We have been visiting Tera for the last 4/5 years and every time we visit, we adore every second.
This visit- we were 3 adults and 3 children (8,5&3) and there was something for everyone.

Entry is €8/adult and €6/child with access to free tea, coffee and biscuits. You will not find better value anywhere

There are lovey fairy statues and doors everywhere with a story that follows the adventures of Delvin.

At the end, there is a lovely hobbit house with an amazing value shop. (There were fairy doors there for at least half the price of some other shops)

We hope to visit again before the end of the summer and tell all our friends about the amazing gem.

    Ballyhoura Walk : July 2021
We are a group of 10 walkers ranging in ages from 28 to 68 and with varying degrees of fitness. Our aim was to walk from Liscarroll to Tipperary town on the Ballyhoura walking trail in three and half days. The walk is mostly well marked, challenging in parts but well worth the trip. We stayed in the Park Hotel in Charleville which I would highly recommend for their accommodation, food and friendliness.
    Thursday afternoon: Liscarroll to Shinagh
This was a walk along quiet rural roads past the Donkey Sanctuary and through the quiet village of Churchtown. There is a grocery shop here, in a somewhat hidden location, where you can get coffee, ice-cream etc. As you leave Churchtown, you walk on a busy road for about 3km before reaching quiet roads again. The walk was 12km long and took 3hours approx for all to complete.
    Friday; Shinagh to Ballyorgan
We left Shinagh, crossed the railway line and joined the main Cork road. We walked for about 500 metres towards Charleville along the side of the main road before taking a right turn onto a rural road. We walked uphill along the road until we reached a sign pointing to the right. This boreen was overgrown and impassable, so we continued along the road, taking the next right, all the time climbing. We re-joined the signposted way some time later at a left turn when we went off road and walked along forest roads. Take care not to miss a right turn with a barrier across it. We followed the signs, all the time climbing until we reached a sign pointing to the right up a steep stone path to Carrow Mountain. The views from up there were worth the effort. The path down was tough underfoot along scree initially and across heather covered ground where the path is not always obvious. We re-joined the forest roads near Philip’s castle and walked downhill to the Bike Trail Shop. A number of the walkers stopped here, the rest continued on to Glenosheen and from there to Ballyorgan. The walk was about 32km long and took about 8 hours. It was a most enjoyable hike but I wouldn’t recommend doing this walk on a wet day. Remember to bring food and water.
    Saturday : Ballyorgan to Galbally
We left Ballyorgan and walked along the road for 2km before turning right and walking up hill along the edge of the forest all the time following the signs. We exited on to a rural road through farmland and into another forest where there we got great views of the surrounding landscape as we walked. There was a steep descent on to a busy road before arriving in Kilfinane where we got lunch. Leaving Kilfinane, we followed the road uphill for 1.5km before turning left onto a horse path, then a cut away forest and then along the edge of a forest. We descended into Ballylanders along rural roads and from Ballylanders to Galbally along a quiet road. The walk was 28km long approx. and took us 7 hours.
    Sunday: Galbally to Tipperary
The rain poured down and unfortunately we had to abandon the walk but will return to complete it at a future date.
Summary: This is a great hike across varying terrain and with some outstanding views. A certain level of fitness is required but slow and steady will get you there.

This is a really nice family camping park. Pitches are spacious and nice and flat. Lots of lovely walks in area and coffee shop on site was a big plus.

Didn't know what to expect when I first arrived with my three teenage daughters. Must say we had a ball. Our karts were modified for the younger age as there were some kids there with their families and I thought it would be very slow.
Was I wrong !! These kids took over Luke pros's 😅 I thought 20 minutes wasn't nearly enough time though as you only kind of get into the speed after 10/15 minutes, especially if it is your first time ... And then 5 minutes later you're finished . 30 minutes would be better especially for the price. 30€ each.
Other than that great fun and a definite must !!

My boyfriend and I went on the group trek. Both of us really enjoyed ourselves. Having very little horse riding experience before hand, I strongly recommend this to people of all abilities. We loved the set up, the horses were gorgeous and the other animals running around (kittens & dogs) make this thoroughly enjoyable for animal lovers!! Thanks again to everyone at Boskill!

Lovely place full of knickknacks and interesting finds, including a vintage arcade game (sadly not for sale).
Staff are friendly and the music is good. The piano is great fun, even if you don't know much about playing.

I have been an intermittent visitor to Mickey's for most of my adult life, too much in my younger years and not as much as I would like in more recent years, from when Mickey Snr ran it through Mickey jnr and now Deirdre. This has always been a welcome home spot for me when i return to Limerick.

This is one of the finer down to earth bars in Limerick. Always a mixed crowd throughout the day and a wonderful atmosphere.

I do have a minor issue though that seems to be a more recent development. On my last visit to Mickey's for the Limerick/Clare hurling match my sons and I arrived hoping to watch the match on familiar turf only to be told they do not show these games as Mickey's is a rugby pub. Given the was no one in the bar and only 2 women in the lane I would have expected putting on the match would have been no inconvenience to anyone but the barman who barely looked at me, appeared totally disinterested. We departed and went to another nearby 'rugby' bar that happily showed the hurling to a full house.

I can only assume that Mickey's has now moved to a single sport venue so while the bar is wonderful at the best of times for a beer with friends if it is sport you seek then it better be rugby or Mickey's is not for you.

We just completed a 9 day tour from Shannon to Dublin with Executive Tours. Our driver and tour guide, John Fitzgerald did an outstanding job taking full care of the six of us on our journey of Ireland. John made recommendations for us and even assisted in making some reservations for a Celtic Step show which was amazing and one you should not miss if you get the chance. Everything was first class and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely seeing all of the beautiful sites of Ireland. Thank you again John for a great experience and safe passage.. Phil and Friends

This is a great pub, lovely decor inside, spotless toilets, great beers, great atmosphere and they know how to pull a proper pint. The staff are friendly and look like they enjoy their jobs.

It was busy at 6pm and loud with laughter and talking, just a proper pub. Every town and city should have one of these.

When I first saw this itinirary, I was preety sceptic because I thought it was a scam but my wife really wanted to go there so we decided to take it (A great choice...). I really enjoyed the trip and especially the botanical garden. It was great and we learned so much. I highly recommend.
