Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This isy favourite place to visit in Limerick. Inside and out is very cool. So much history to take in. Views from the towers out into the city or countryside are incredible. Great gift shop and cafe. Parking nearby but can walk easily from train or bus station.

I was undecided which museum to visit and I opted for Hunt museum. It’s the personal, eclectic collection of John and Gertrude Hunt across 3 levels. The staff are knowledgeable - thank you Mike.

Great spot for breakfast and great food stands. Picked up some nice cakes and a walk around with the dogs.

This may be the best church / religious building in Limerick. Loads of history inside and out. Awesome stained glass and art on the inside. Bells ring every hour and sometimes are spectacular. Entry fee of €5 when I visited.

We found Treaty City Brewery walking to King John’s castle in Limerick. We were pleasantly surprised about the quality of beer. The bartender was especially friendly and informative about all the beers. Unfortunately, the beer isn’t sold in the US , so this might be our only experience trying this beer. However, I would definitely recommend it to anyone else looking for a really good beer in Limerick City.

This is a must visit when coming to Limerick or even a reason to visit if nothing else. The only Catholic Cathedral in the area. Super atmosphere, so spacious yet intimate. Lovely stained glass and other features. Good view from and pew. Good sound from system. Car parking available and only a few minutes walk from the bus or train.

A really interesting place to visit, very informative and humorous guide Cathal and lots of quirky exhibits. Extremely reasonable entry price and tour well worth the small extra.

Great space for a gallery. Very serene and great light in most of the rooms. Peaceful most of the time on a Sunday anyway and right next to the park so the kids can go mad afterwards. Swanzy exhibition was excellent as was Ryan (what is that white dog/llama). O'Dwyer was waaaay over my head. Very abstract. Kids thought it was mad but good to expose them to different versions of Art.

This precious church and its grounds are looked after by locals who clearly love and respect its meaning to them, as it's the sacred burial ground for Limerick's ancestors. There's a grave of a 4 year old child in there, its heartbreaking to know someone lost their baby. But some kind thoughtful soul has put toys on her grave, letting us know this child is still beautiful to them

I came here to visit the church which my daughter is obsessed with ever since Netflix's Angela's Secret. I chatted with a lady from the church who offered me a prayer and safe travels.

Superb shopping and easy to park and navigate - lots to eat and a great cinema. It was a lot of fun for a few hours and the smaller shops are excellent

We spent about an hour in the Limerick City Museum. Its small but comprehensive exhibits about the city’s industrial and social past in particular were very well done. It’s free to enter and provides an interesting background to Limerick.

My experience is personal and redeeming. Suffice it to say that I now go to confession in the Redemptorist Church frequently- a massive turn-about in my life for which I am most grateful. I would recommend anyone, no matter what their fears or imagined hopelessness to do as I did- try it out, you have nothing to lose- but will experience forgiveness, peace, contentment and a powerful release from guilt, despair, fear and doom. If I could do it- so can anyone.
