Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A must do if you are in Limerick in my opinion. It's not that there is much to see, it's more the significance of it. It is a mounted block of limestone by the Shannon, it was the stone upon which the Treaty was reigned in 1609 to end the Siege of Limerick. It is located in a very picturesque place right by the Thomond Bridge over the Shannon facing King John's Castle. If you go to the castle you will learn a lot about the stone and the history of the city anyway and I think it would be a real pity for any visitor to miss this singular piece of history.

We did not have a chance to stop and see the church but we did get a few pictures for our trip album. The structure is a site to see and we would have liked to have been ablw to stop and check it out.

Well worth popping in to see. Well maintained/restored. Dark marble pillars and very ornate arches supporting the high ceiling.

This is The Limerick Ben, Big Ben’s little brother. Four faces and a landmark in Limerick. It’s worth seeing or using as a landmark.

We visited on a nice sunny Fall day and found a nice square with trees and a bench to rest on and beautiful historical buildings including a wonderful church that is well worth seeing. This should be included in your sights to see in Limerick checklist!

The exchange wall is very old and in the heart of downtown. We especially liked the six huge columns that are built into the middle.

Just off the main road and in a field by itself are the excellent ruins of a Dominican Abbey that is open 24/7 wih no facilities. It is easy to access and walk around and is well maintained. It is very atmospheric and there will probably be no one but you there.
