We had the tasting menu.Although we’ve had many tasting experiences in a selection of Michelin star restaurants,in our opinion,this was certainly the best. - LandPCIreland’s Ancient East, Ireland169 contributionsFrom morning coffee and scones at the Mullicháin to all the sights along the way it was a splendid walk along the river and canal banks that make up the Barrow Way. For pure "away from it all" relaxation this is a little bit of Heaven. Graiguenamanagh was beautiful with its floral displays and Barrow views and the lovely Waterside Cafe to top it off. - Louise2 contributionsWe thought the National Reptile Zoo. Lots of amazing creatures to look at. Expensive enough to go in-€48 for two adults & two kids, but good fun. Our kids got to touch a cornsnake, gecko & tortoise. The lady doing the show & tell used words like ‘pedantic’ when kids answered questions correctly, so difficult for them to understand her or know if they were right or wrong about the animal facts they had. - Ann K12 contributionsThe hurling visit in Kilkenny was so much fun! The Kavanaugh brothers gave our Trafalgar group a lesson in the sport, then we got to go out in the field and “play!”
If you get a chance, go for it! It’s the national sport of Ireland, 3000 years old. There are beautiful showjumps, a fantastic surface in the top arena and wonderful indoor arena to escape the rain! - Lita L101 contributionsOur hats off to the grounds superintendent! Very walkable course, playable for all levels of golfers. Friendly pro shop staff. Love the daises set between fairways! The round was enjoyable with incredible weather! Maintenance excellent. Post round hospitality very personal and good quality. John is very knowledgeable about the birds and the history of falconry, you can tell that he loves what he does. And Caroline is a treat! We enjoyed their company as much as the hawks. And the little owls are adorable! The little baby was trying to snuggle into my armpit. I loved it so much. - Beverleigh B1 contributionThe Kilkenny bike tour was amazing. I had Jason as my tour guide, he was funny and engaging. It’s an incredible way to see the sites of Kilkenny. The ride was easy, and at a great pace. We would have frequent stops to look at landmarks and be told stories. - Paul S1 contributionCharlie is an excellent guide & shared interesting history + local knowledge to add an extra dimension to the adventure - couple this with the stunning scenery & excitement of kayaking thru rapids & navigating the locks- thrilled the 7yo, teens & adults alike.
