Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We only went to The lady Helen restaurant.Sadly we were not staying there, From the second we entered, everyone was so pleasant, courteous and professional and friendly at the same time. We had the tasting menu.Although we’ve had many tasting experiences in a selection of Michelin star restaurants,in our opinion, this was certainly the best. It was a pleasant surprise to see the head chef,John Kelly, serving the most delicious veal,he spoke to every table. ,we were very impressed with him and he was so unpretentious and humble. There isn’t one single thing I could criticise, The staff really did make our night.Thank you to every single person.

From morning coffee and scones at the Mullicháin to all the sights along the way it was a splendid walk along the river and canal banks that make up the Barrow Way. For pure "away from it all" relaxation this is a little bit of Heaven. Graiguenamanagh was beautiful with its floral displays and Barrow views and the lovely Waterside Cafe to top it off. Whether you hike it or bike it its a lovely journey.

We thought the National Reptile Zoo. Lots of amazing creatures to look at. Expensive enough to go in-€48 for two adults & two kids, but good fun. Our kids got to touch a cornsnake, gecko & tortoise. The lady doing the show & tell used words like ‘pedantic’ when kids answered questions correctly, so difficult for them to understand her or know if they were right or wrong about the animal facts they had. But overall a very enjoyable experience.

Was in Kilkenny for the day and went for a walk here and I really enjoyed it, being beside the river noire. It's very peaceful and relaxing and I enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Kilkenny city.

Excellent golf course. Very well maintained. Greens in top shape. Well done and thanks to Edel and her team for a wonderful afternoon's golf. We also used the seating area for a picnic. Would definitely recommend.

The hurling visit in Kilkenny was so much fun! The Kavanaugh brothers gave our Trafalgar group a lesson in the sport, then we got to go out in the field and “play!”
If you get a chance, go for it! It’s the national sport of Ireland, 3000 years old. And still a vibrant sport with an active program for all ages in Kilkenny.

We hosted a competition for over 200 competitors across showjumping, dressage and prix caprilli at Danville and could not recommend the facilities highly enough. There are beautiful showjumps, a fantastic surface in the top arena and wonderful indoor arena to escape the rain! Barbara was so accommodating and a massive help in organising the competition, she went above and beyond to ensure the competition went off without a hitch.

Our hats off to the grounds superintendent! Very walkable course, playable for all levels of golfers. Friendly pro shop staff. Love the daises set between fairways! The round was enjoyable with incredible weather! Afterwards we savored a platter of proper fish and chips...a perfect finale to a perfect day of golf!

This unspoken hidden gem has so many good features. Management and staff extremely helpful.. Course looks benign but springs plenty of surprises. Maintenance excellent. Post round hospitality very personal and good quality. Our group of nine would be happy to return.

We loved the chance to learn about hurling from a local and to have a chance to play and visit with others from around the world. Lunch was delicious, too. Big thumbs up!

This was one of the highlights of our trip! Absolutely loved the experience. John is very knowledgeable about the birds and the history of falconry, you can tell that he loves what he does. And Caroline is a treat! We enjoyed their company as much as the hawks. And the little owls are adorable! The little baby was trying to snuggle into my armpit. I loved it so much. I would 1000% recommend this.

The Kilkenny bike tour was amazing. I had Jason as my tour guide, he was funny and engaging. It’s an incredible way to see the sites of Kilkenny. The ride was easy, and at a great pace. We would have frequent stops to look at landmarks and be told stories. I cannot recommend this enough.

Charlie is an excellent guide & shared interesting history + local knowledge to add an extra dimension to the adventure - couple this with the stunning scenery & excitement of kayaking thru rapids & navigating the locks- thrilled the 7yo, teens & adults alike.

We spent a month travelling thru Ireland & did lots of great outdoor activities - this was our favourite.
