Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

To start with, I wasn't guest in the hotel. I had a horse riding experience booked as my birthday present in hotel's equestrian centre. And what an experience that was!! Jess - the instructor - was amazing. I got to control the Doris (the horse, FYI) totally and then we found time to get my first hang of a throttle, which I used on few occasions during the stroll across the estate. Of course, mild spring weather helped to enjoy it to the fullest.
It was an unforgettable experience, with two unforgettable girls, Jess and Doris. Thank you, staff of the Mount Juliet Equestrian Centre!

From morning coffee and scones at the Mullicháin to all the sights along the way it was a splendid walk along the river and canal banks that make up the Barrow Way. For pure "away from it all" relaxation this is a little bit of Heaven. Graiguenamanagh was beautiful with its floral displays and Barrow views and the lovely Waterside Cafe to top it off. Whether you hike it or bike it its a lovely journey.

Excellent golf course. Very well maintained. Greens in top shape. Well done and thanks to Edel and her team for a wonderful afternoon's golf. We also used the seating area for a picnic. Would definitely recommend.

We thought the National Reptile Zoo. Lots of amazing creatures to look at. Expensive enough to go in-€48 for two adults & two kids, but good fun. Our kids got to touch a cornsnake, gecko & tortoise. The lady doing the show & tell used words like ‘pedantic’ when kids answered questions correctly, so difficult for them to understand her or know if they were right or wrong about the animal facts they had. But overall a very enjoyable experience.

The hurling visit in Kilkenny was so much fun! The Kavanaugh brothers gave our Trafalgar group a lesson in the sport, then we got to go out in the field and “play!”
If you get a chance, go for it! It’s the national sport of Ireland, 3000 years old. And still a vibrant sport with an active program for all ages in Kilkenny.

Our hats off to the grounds superintendent! Very walkable course, playable for all levels of golfers. Friendly pro shop staff. Love the daises set between fairways! The round was enjoyable with incredible weather! Afterwards we savored a platter of proper fish and chips...a perfect finale to a perfect day of golf!

This was a fantastic activity for our family! From Grandpa to our 8-year-old, everyone had a great time. We knew nothing about hurling when we began the day, but after a couple of hours with Colum, we were all excited about the sport! It was a damp day, and after some practice on the pitch we were all pleased to go back to the pub and enjoy the delicious included lunch. Overall a great learning experience and a lot of fun!

A group of 6 of us from Liverpool visited in early October to play with my son in law and his mates from Kilkenny area. The course was in immaculate condition and is suitable for all handicaps. Everyone was very welcoming and there is a fine little bar that serves hot fod. We'll be back!

We hosted a competition for over 200 competitors across showjumping, dressage and prix caprilli at Danville and could not recommend the facilities highly enough. There are beautiful showjumps, a fantastic surface in the top arena and wonderful indoor arena to escape the rain! Barbara was so accommodating and a massive help in organising the competition, she went above and beyond to ensure the competition went off without a hitch.

Just back from the most amazing two day trip down the Barrow river! Still buzzing! Everything was organised for us by Charlie at Go With the Flow. He had a two-person Canadian canoe ready for us and on Day 1 we paddled from Goresbridge to Graiguenamanagh. Charlie collected us in Graig (where we had time for a nice creamy pint beside the fire in Doyles) and brought us to a our pod near Borris. Strolled into Borris for dinner then back to our lovely pod for the night. Charlie then brought us back to Graig to continue our journey down to St Mullins on Day 2. We finished up with a fabulous lunch in An Muillechean - the excellent riverside restaurant in beautiful St. Mullins. We were really lucky with the weather - the day before we arrived it had lashed, but we had no rain on our two days and the river was zipping along so we zipped along too! Saw a kingfisher too which was an extra treat :)
All in all a fantastic weekend. Highly recommended.

Booked this last minute, and Jason ( operator / proprietor ) was super flexible with our schedule and request. Affable, knowledgeable and eminently approachable, the bike tour of Kilkenny was delightful and well competed by our guide, Jason. Highly recommend without reservation

Awesome experience. My sister and I recently took part in the private hawk walk, and we had a blast. I work with parrots, and am used to large birds, but spending some time with raptors is a whole new experience. We had a blast. Thank you.

We are just returning home from Kilkenny where we spent an enjoyable few days. We booked a boat trip on the river. Our guide Cliff was an extremely amiable guy with extensive knowledge of the area. The trip was very reasonably priced at 15e per person. We spent a very enjoyable hour roaming the waterways, having great chats and heating interesting facts. Cliff is clearly a people person who loves his job and makes the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Very highly recommended.
