Our tour guide gave an excellent overview of the history of the house, the family, and their influential role in the region. Truly a unique perspective, different than the typical story of nobility associated with the castles in the region. Nice collection of art and artifacts, and an interesting garden recreated based on archaeology investigations. Pity it isn't publicised more - we only discovered it by accident. - _mojomargeNewry, UK30 contributionsWhat a fantastic little gem in Thomastown. The fact that it's up near the top of the street might mean it's easily missed but we were delighted to have found it. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside and had a stroll around the lovely quirky garden and a good look at the plants for sale.
