Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Liberty70Clinton, NJ11 contributionsInteresting tour of the home of a wealthy merchant family of early Kilkenny. Our tour guide gave an excellent overview of the history of the house, the family, and their influential role in the region. Truly a unique perspective, different than the typical story of nobility associated with the castles in the region. Nice collection of art and artifacts, and an interesting garden recreated based on archaeology investigations. Well worth a visit!Written 8 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Patricia B1 contributionMy brother & myself visited today (May 11) & it was a delightful experience enhanced by the member of staff who went way over & above to show us around & give us the history of the estate. Pity it isn't publicised more - we only discovered it by accident. It is really worth a visit.Written 11 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- _mojomargeNewry, UK30 contributionsWhat a fantastic little gem in Thomastown. The fact that it's up near the top of the street might mean it's easily missed but we were delighted to have found it. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside and had a stroll around the lovely quirky garden and a good look at the plants for sale. It has wonderful staff who are part of the Camphill Community and that made it even more special for us.Written 25 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
