Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had so much fun with Peter and others who signed up to learn the Kilkenny Way! So much fun in fact, we ordered hurleys and Sliotars for our entire family from the Hurling Depot!
Totally worth it (even after arriving late the night before from a long a drive)! Lanigans was great too and easily accommodated our daughter's peanut allergy.

    Thanks, Peter, Andrew and PJ!

Our third trip to The Devils Menu was a full day experience. Working with John and working through a plethora of new dishes. Prior to the session we had a call with John so he could get an understanding of what we wanted to learn and work on and then planned a comprehensive menu based around this. The fun didn't stop all day and it was a fantastic experience to learn from very talented chef. The ever present Hazel was there to to make sure that John was kept on track. Thanks to you both, a great day and we have already tried a. Couple of the dishes at home. Can't recommend highly enough.

While in Stoneyford recently, I parked outside Knockdrinna cafe. I was planning on going to Kilkenny for breakfast, but decided to give this cafe a try, especially as the reviews were so good. Inside the cafe is rather quaint, traditional, but very cosy. We decided to sit outside in the beautiful sunshine. We both ordered full Irish. As an avid tea lover, I was well impressed with a fine big proper pot of tea. The artisan breakfast was beautifully presented, plentiful, so fresh, top quality ingredients, and ever so tasty. The toast, and real butter was delicious, and plentiful. We both cleared out plates. There's a lovely ambience at Knockdrinna, we were made feel so welcome. The staff are lovely, sincere, and friendly. It was totally by chance that I found this hidden gem. There is also a beautiful selection of homemade cakes, which I purchased, and it was delicious. I would highly recommend Knockdrinna, you won't be disappointed.

I visited this bookshop/cafe recently on a day trip to Kilkenny.

I had been wandering the city, checking out the cafes, looking for a comfortable, peaceful spot to sit, relax, have a good cup of coffee and spend a little time on my laptop.

Eventually, I found The Book & Coffee Shop.

    I got lucky!

This is a wonderful spot that stays open later than other cafes. The used book selection makes for wonderful book browsing. The coffee and pastries are excellent and the owner is delightful human being.

I agree wholeheartedly with the reviewers who called it a "friendly gem" and a "little treasure".

I would recommend classes in the Clay Rooms to any and everyone. The 5 week hand building class was brilliant, with freedom to create many different things with guidance and advice from amazing Lisalott. Thanks again for the excellent experience!

It was a wonderful afternoon. Richenda and her husband are great hosts. I learnt some great tips on cooking and the meal was delicious. She even emailed me some recipes!
