Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Joanne SWaterloo, Canada53 contributions10 days before our visit, Malzards was ranked #1 Irish Pub of the Year by Drinks Industry Ireland, so we had to go experience the buzz. And a buzz it was -- live ballads to a full house, quirky conversation pieces, wonderfully hospitable proprietor and team. It was a great place to visit and spend some time.Written 30 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nettie D14 contributionsAbsolutely loved this bar, so different to the crap places that are around nowadays, you feel like you're stepping back in time to a beautiful artistic, majestic era, where people actually sit down, speak to one another, have the craic and a pint of Guinness. Met people from all walks of life there, can't wait to go back, highly, highly recommendWritten 21 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While we were there, mandatory masks weren’t enforced, drinks had to be ordered via the bar and no social distancing was in place. This didn’t really bother us though and it was nice feel normal for a change.Written 23 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
