Excellent tour. Staff so obliging and welcoming. Donal went out of his way to make the tour interesting and gave it his all (and he didn’t slag me for being from Cavan) Full of enthusiasm for what he does. Also the other two male staff. They simply couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommended

I always try to call in to St John's every time I am in Tralee, it is such a beautiful place and always so serene and calm.
Yesterdays visit was my first in about 16 months but the place has lost none of its charm and grandeur.
I love the stone walks and the beautiful cross beams in the roof. The stained glass is captivating too. I'm not sure what word to use about it, not cosy I suppose or even homely, but welcoming.

We drove along the causeway and looked out at the small but perfectly formed lighthouse. The location is beautiful and dramatic as the weather was not best and you could see the clouds rolling in from the Atlantic.

Lovely little spot worth a detour to check out, we enjoy visiting when we're over and there's room to park up and get out for a look.

Set in a lovely rose garden, it was great to walk through and enjoy the beautiful garden and sweet sculpture. Near city center it’s a couple of blocks to restaurants, cafe, pubs and stores. Enjoyed it on a day of good weather.

It is humbling finding your ancesteral home only to see just the gates as the house is long gone. But in side the gates were these beautiful Ogham stones that predate a lot of world history which is rather cool.

This is the ruin of a 10th Century Church. Quite possibly the main church in the diocese of Kerry before the seat moved to Ardfert Cathedral.

Because our hotel was close by I took the short walk from the hotel into the central plaza and was pleasantly surprised at just how much there was to see shop wise. There are many shops going off the main shopping area. Lots of pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from and very friendly and informative staff in the shops if you wanted to know something specific about the area.

With 3 Churches close together we were able to chose an early service so we could attend Mass then hit the road to Dingle. A very lovely older Cathedral, still doing some of the older service. DO NOT BE LATE! We arrived just on time, but cars were double parking in street, didn't want to do that with the rental so drove around to find a spot in a parking lot. When we entered the priest was doing all the service with no readers due to the abortion vote getting ready to happen. He stopped and stared at us for coming in when he was speaking, so we hurried into a pew, which made him put his hands on head and shake it. Finally he went on and everything was nice.

You always get a cracking atmosphere at Austin Stack Park. I've been going to games here for years as I have family in the area but having attended this weekends National league game between Kerry and Dublin, I was surprised to find that the stadium was not listed here on tripadvisor.
It is within a very short walk of the town centre and only a few hundred metres from the train station and bus station, locate don the same road. It has one large grandstand running along the road side of the ground and a newer, small covered terrace behind the town goal. The far side has a full length terrace.
Its an old ground and facilities are not exactly modern, but the atmosphere as I mentioned is always good. The catering and toilet facilities are okay and there is plenty of parking nearby in the town, but maybe not so much right outside the ground.
It is, the home of Kerry Football along with Fitzgerald Stadium down the road in Kilarney and I've seen many a great club match here. This weekend though it was full of nearly 12,000 Kerry and Dublin supporters to see an absolute belter of a game. If you are visiting Tralee and you like sports, try to catch a game here
