Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a great experience-as other reviews have said, this was a highlight of our trip. It was raining the day of our scheduled visit, Geoff was kind enough to reschedule us the next morning before we left Killarney. He spent time with each of us in our group of 4, working with the falcons, taking pictures, and letting each of us hold an owl at the end, all while explaining the history of Falconry and some entertaining stories! Geoff also recommended The Blue Door Restaurant in our next stop in Adare, which was also great! Highly recommend Killarney Falconry.

This trail offers an amazing array of sports as it ascends to Ireland's highest mountain and it includes multiple distinct routes up Carrauntoohill. The Devil's Ladder is also a common route. Most of the "ladder" itself has corroded, making the climb up and down exciting, but highly rewarding.
The trails are well-marked, and the various terrain makes this amazing walk a terrific visitor challenge.

There are no facilities along this route; everything's at the trail start. Dogs are not allowed on trails due to many livestock. Like the mountains, the weather changes quickly, causing tourists some trouble, thus all equipment must be well-organized. The closest spot to visit is the Cronin`s Yard

Travelled up this route with the fantastic Piaras of Kerry Climbing, they are simply the experts in all things Climbing and The Reeks, the mountain boasts some amazing views accross Kerry on a good day, and is a very enjoyable but strenuous climb.Only to be attempted with propper and correct gear, more than doable with a reasonable level of fitness,do not underestimate the dangers of the mountain and always with a very competant guide.

This was the best part of our visit to Killarney by a million miles. It was also the best Escape Room I've ever done!
The clues were varied and challenging but the pleasure when the lock sprung open was always fun. Sometimes we thought a clue meant one thing but actually it meant something else, we wasted the like that and ended up needing to be rescued rather than escaping but that doesn't matter at all, it was still fun and a really great way to spend an hour. Next time we'll come with the whole family, with all of us working and laughing together it'll be even better. I can't wait!

Don't drive the Ring of Kerry yourself; call Moses. I planned to drive the Ring of Kerry but opted to hire a driver after receiving good advice from a friend. That change meant I called Moses on short notice. He was kind enough to drive my wife and me on his day off. His tour was incredible and took us on many roads I would not have dared to drive myself. He provided great conversation and supplied historical information about the sites we visited and those we passed on the road. It was an incredible tour, and he took to some of the lesser-known, hard to get to stops for some gorgeous, scenic views not overrun with large tours. Remember to pay him in Euros so he does have to pay credit card fees.

Amazingly kind, skilled, and helpful bike mechanic, who was truly a master tradesman. Everyone in the store was great.

Ask for Mike, the Galway man in Kerry.
He was all you could ask for in a guide, got us there and back safely but also a genuine nice guy to spend a day walking in the mountains with.

Mick took us out for a Guided tour on Lough Leane. He showed us the ins and outs of Trout and Salmon fishing. Everything was supplied all I had to bring was rain gear and a packed lunch. He covered Trawling, Spinning and Fly fishing methods. He was very professional but at the same time made it very enjoyable. Mick has got a very high knowledge of the Lough. I'd highly recommend him as a tour guide, as I said he provided an excellent standard of fishing experience. I'm definitely going back. I really enjoyed it, also Mick has very affordable prices.

My husband and I, along with my parents, had the pleasure of spending a September morning kayaking in Killarney! Our guide, William, was so kind and made us feel safe the entire trip. The weather was a bit windy but he always kept a close watch on us and made sure to find calm areas for us to relax and enjoy the scenery. We got to see an otter, a grey heron and some deer…it was delightful! William’s knowledge of the area, the foliage, and the wildlife only enriched our trip further. At the end our time in Ireland, we all agreed this kayaking tour was our favorite activity of the trip!

Also- much appreciation to Hester for making booking a breeze and getting us all set up in our wetsuits!

    100% recommend!

Our 5 year old went on a Pony trek (15 mins) this morning on Harry. He had such an amazing experience and the guide (can't remember her name) was incredible with him, so reassuring and encouraging. Will definitely be back again for a little pony ride again. Such a great introduction to horse riding for a little boy who loves horses. She gave him a horse shoe at the end to keep and told him to make a wish, amazing touch! Thank you so much!

Pat Falvey is very hospitable and he welcomed us to his home where are many memorabilia and pictures from his adventures! I really enjoyed my time at the Mountain Lodge and I couldn't recommend other this place.
