Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a beautiful National Park with hiking and attractions scattered everywhere. If you love hiking, great views, waterfalls, and nature I'd encourage you to visit

Take the horse & cart! You can pick one up at the entrance after parking. We had Katie as our cart driver (with her horse Rosie). It is likely a wet 20 minute walk… so this made it extra fun and enjoyable despite the rain and learned all about her experience growing up in the Gap. Ride will cost about 35 Euros per person.

Beautiful place. Plenty of free parking. A small fee per person to enter. I forgot what it was. The home is beautiful. Every room decorated magnificent. You got a good look at the servants quarters. Great to see if you are a fan of Downton Abbey. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. As pretty as any seen in Ireland. The are lots of walks from the house. We went to the Abbey and the Torc waterfall. Walk approximately 7 miles total. Basically spent most of the day here. Had tea and cake in the cafe. Great place.

Lovely place to visit, take the 1 hour boat trip €15 each round the lake, there is lots to learn from the ruins on one of the small island to the white tailed eagles and deer

The hike to the waterfall was really nice, the waterfall by it self is “okay” if you mange to get a good spot. Even with bad weather it is quite full. Continue up hill and you will encounter less crowds. All in all still a worthy destination.

We had a blast and all of the birds were beautiful! Geoffrey was an amazing guide and teacher, we had so much fun. We learned a ton about the birds and would 100% recommend to anyone!

If you are staying in the lake hotel you must have a stop here, all the way back at the end of the lake you can see the hotel :) The majestic scenery from the other side so to say.

A beautiful, peaceful and unspoilt spot. Free entry was a real bonus. Nice walks in the area, although a few more signposts would have helped.

Our guide clearly loves his job and the birds! He was able to answer all our questions and everyone had enough time to handle 3 birds and admire them. Highly recommend this experience

Took some time to visit Killarney House & Gardens while on a visit to Killarney. It's a fantastic place with lots to see in the house. The gardens are spectacular. Managed to get up close to some Sika deer which was lovely to see as well.

This is a heck of a walk! It’s steep but the path is very clear and well-maintained the whole way to the very top. And it’s so worth the climb as the views all the way are beautiful, then you get 360 at the top, with various lakes in sight and a huge sense of achievement. We walked from the bottom, by Muckross Lake, to see the waterfall first then carried on up.

    Brilliant!

Wow. Was not sure what to expect. This surpassed all expectations. From our first introduction to Mike, and his explanation of how a farm would run in the 1940's; to meeting Joan, Mary and Mary. The ladies were friendly and lovely. The meal was fabulous. The ambiance and atmosphere, fantabulous. The musical entertainment; absolutely wonderful! I give this experience an 11/10!

Beautiful and peaceful Cathedral. There were many parishioners there mid-day during the week. Worth a visit. Very serene.

Brilliant farm for kids. My children are 6 and 3 and we went this afternoon. They both loved it. We couldn’t speak highly enough. My two loved the petting area for the kids with the small animals. Ye’re indoor and outdoor playgrounds are v good. My two loved the indoor new playground. The did not want to leave and we were there two hours. Definitely will be bk.

It's a great hike even on a rainy day. I did one from Tahilla to Blackwater Bridge. I was with my mam and I think we were the first to do it in 2024.
