I'm sooo happy i did. Altho the original date (a Sunday in Oct) had to be cancelled (too few people), Deros put him on a small coach for the following day. The meeting place was easy for him to find and the weather turned out to be better than the original tour date. I was thrilled to learn that his coach driver was the infamous Bat -- my friend said he was very informative with craic a-plenty! Since my friend was traveling without a car for the week, I was thrilled to find the easy access of Deros Tours so he could explore further than his Killarney base. He was in awe of the beautiful scenery throughout the Dingle Peninsula. To see my tough, old-school Philadelphia paisano holding a baby lamb in his Irish cap and Aran sweater was pure joy. We booked with Deross tours in Killarney and it was the perfect choice. They provided the transportation to Ross Castle where we got on the 8 passenger motor boat to cross the Lakes of Killarney. Then a stop for a bite at Lord Byron’s Cottage after which we chose to take A Jaunting cart through the Gap of Dunloe.. amazing beauty surrounded us. The jaunting cart went to Kate’s Cottage where we had transportation back to Killarney. We hired a guide through Deros Coach Tours and had a fantastic time, enjoying spectacular views and learned so much. The Ring is 111 miles which without stopping would take 3.5 hours. It took us almost 6 hours and the time flew by. It's very narrow in some places so good to have someone with experience driving you. Plus you have the advantage of enjoying the ride.
