Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Totally worth it to have some one else drive so you can enjoy the view. and learn the history and interesting factoids. I booked with Deros Tour and it was so well run. Our driver and tour guide Tony couldn't be funnier or a better driver!

We had a fabulous day overall.
We were a little bit put off at the beginning by the realisation that it wasn’t guided through the gap of Dunloe if you decided to walk but in fairness it was very easy to navigate.
Main issue we had is timing - trip seems geared towards taking a haunting car. We walked but were a bit stressed out as we were told last boat left at 2 and we would be left behind!! We made it but the trip was not an enjoyable stroll - more of a made dash!
However the boat trip was amazing.
Make sure you travel with Dux. He’s passionate knowledgeable and all round great craic! The highlight of the trip.

I can't recommend the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring Private Tour with Paudie Murphy enough! Paudie was an absolutely incredible guide and I enjoyed every single second of our tour. I went with my mom, and Paudie picked us up bright and early from our hotel in Killarney. We saw the best of Ireland's country and seaside. Paudie is extremely knowledgeable about the plants, wildlife, and everything in between. He went above and beyond on our tour, gave us as much time as we needed to take photos, and was just so incredibly kind and sweet. My mom has a lot of dietary restrictions, and Paudie made sure that our stop for lunch would have options for her. Another example of how he goes above and beyond: he found out how much I love animals and made a point to pull to the side of the road and call to them so I could take photos! The drive was so scenic and beautiful and peaceful. You can tell that Paudie loves what he does and where he lives and takes so much pride in being Irish. A few of my favorite highlights: the skelligs (I'm a huge Star Wars nerd), the little village of Sneem, Skelligs Chocolate Factory, and Torc Waterfall. The private tour is a must do, and you absolutely must book with Paudie!

Our family of 5- 2 adults, children 22, 19 & 17, really enjoyed this experience. The bus picked us up right at our inn, Old Weir Lodge, and took us to the cottage where we chose a jaunty to take us the 7 miles to the boat launch. Since there were 5 of us, we had 4 in the carriage (very tight fit for us big Americans :)) and our son was a great sport and rode the horse. We had to pay $25 each cash. The scenery was amazing and we were really lucky to have no rain. We did have to get off the carriage and walk up some steep parts. At the end of the horse ride is the Lord’s cottage and we purchased some soup and sandwiches. Cash only. We then took the boat through the different lakes and channels while our guide is told us different details about the area. Our guide was very funny and kept us entertained for the hour and a half. We got to Ross Castle and chose to tour it but it was not included. The weather held off so it was a beautiful day.

Kevin was an amazing driver. He has a great knowledge of local history and the park. He was a storyteller in the repeating of Ross Castle history. Visitors love hearing tales of folklore, legends and history. Dusty had returned to service after the Covid break and what a beautiful equine. She was so friendly at the end. Highly recommend Kevin and his tour

Richard led a very pleasant walk, told us all the local history and pointed out things of interest. We saw Sika Deer. We found him very easy to chat with. Even though we had a couple of rain storms on the way, this didn't detract from the enjoyment of the walk.

Highly recommend taking a Jaunting Car trip in Killarney National Park, thoroughly enjoyable, my driver John gave an interesting account of historical facts, stopping often at beauty spots for me to take photographs, nothing was too much trouble. Thank You to John & his horse Suzy.

What a wonderful surprise it was to find that we didn't have to share the cart ride with anyone that we hadn't booked with - as a couple, it was great to take the ride with just the two of us. Our tour guide was witty, informative, and entertaining during the ride. The ride takes you into the park to Ross Castle where you're able to stop and explore for about 15 minutes, and then you're taken back out of the park to the Killarney brewery. My only complaint would be that I wish the ride was longer, but I assume I'd feel that way no matter how long it actually was as I enjoyed it that much!
The beer was great, a table was reserved for us so despite the business of the evening dinner time we were able to waltz right in for our beer and a delicious pizza.

We had the privilege of taking a Dingle & Slea Head Private Tour with Ger, and would highly recommend. Though the 7-hour tour was designed to leave from Killarney, but we were staying in Dingle town and had him pick us up there. He adjusted to the shorter distance by adding some details to the drive around Conor pass and Slea Head. Our main goal for the drive was to get some photo opportunities for my wife. It turns out our driver had some photography background himself, and my wife was able to get a ton of unique and beautiful shots despite some uncooperative weather. There were several times he'd stop on the side of the road and tell my wife, "OK, open the door and look down and left/up and right/etc to get a shot and each time it seemed to lead to her getting something we never would have found on our own. The storytelling, history, and answers to our questions all filled the 7 hours nicely and provided us some great context of the Dingle Peninsula. He showed patience and flexibility throughout the trip, as well, as we dealt with the whims and occasional fits of the 4 year old we had with us. Finally, he helped us sift through many options to find a very nice souvenir for our 8-year old daughter. All of us were happy with the trip. Finally, most importantly, he drove safely and courteously. The Conor Pass was especially foggy and would have been a dangerous drive for me. Our driver was calm and effective at navigating the tricky conditions. Again, would highly recommend.

We very much enjoyed this tour! The Gap of Dunloe was gorgeous and the highlight of our time in Ireland. Our jaunting cart driver Pat (and his son Liam) were wonderful, informative, helpful, and genuinely kind people. Our boat tour guide was knowledgable and the boat trip was peaceful. We would do this trip again!
