Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My friend and I planned a trip to Ireland for October 2023. We booked our trip through My Ireland Tour and we were SO lucky to have been matched with Maurice Kelly as our driver. My Ireland Tour created our schedule and Maurice drove us to each destination with no issues. We were able to follow our schedule and Maurice even took us to additional stops based on our interests. We learned a lot about Ireland's rich history because of him. It was so wonderful to get to know Maurice on a personal level on our long drives. Maurice is very easygoing and a fantastic storyteller. If you book a trip with O'Callaghans, ask for Maurice!!

We set up a tour and the company set us up with Tommy Buckley as a driver and guide. He was fabulous and really made our vacation something more special than we planned. He helped us find everything we wanted to find. Helped us make choices of what to see and went out of his way to help us.

…without Moses Walsh our 9 days in Ireland would not be the lifetime memory it is today. Mr Walsh is every positive description you read in other reviews. Timely, funny, wealth of knowledge especially about Ireland’s history. He will take you places that a tour bus could not go and give the opportunity for pictures worth a thousand words. His kindness to us was unmatched …my husband six months ago was diagnosed with ALS…this trip was part of his bucket list. Moses knew of this and ensured in his generous caring way that all our needs were attended to. Including helping my disabled husband walk into establishments and folding the wheelchair when necessary. Moses was like our guardian angel…we were sad to leave beautiful Ireland, still wanting to see more natural beauty and hear from Moses more Ireland history. We thank you Moses for being the extraordinary person you are …we had a trip of a lifetime and hope to see you once again…we are not done exploring your beautiful country. 🇮🇪

Because of a travel disruption, we were separated from our travel group and needed to get from Killarney to Galway. Joe provided a great tour of the sights along the way, including a stop at the Cliffs of Mohar where he got exclusive access to a very close parking lot, cutting out the long hike to get there. In the photo here you can see the people on the cliffs behind his car. Can't ask for better!

    Thanks Joe!

We did the Killarney Lakes and Gap of Dunloe tour, and it was the best thing we did the whole trip. It's a great way to see the National Park (which is absolutely gorgeous) and all our guides seemed so passionate about the area. Our taxi driver, Gary H., was the same both to and from and he had some great recommendations for what else to do while we were in the area, plus was just cool to talk to. We wished we could have done one of their other tours as well because this one was just such a great experience, and next time we're in the area this company will be at the top of our list.

We would give ten stars if possible.
Let us begin by heartily endorsing all of the wonderful things said about Killarney Tour & Taxi Service. There are not enough superlatives to describe the service provided by Killarney Tour & Taxi Service.

For our own experience, the support offered by Jackie in the office was second to none. She was extremely friendly and prompt. She answered all of our questions quickly, clearly and concisely. Jackie and Jack designed a tour that surpassed all of our expectations.

To describe the day of our tour, let us put it this way. Imagine you have just made a great new friend and that friend was funny, gracious and informative and took you to see the areas that the locals know about and the guidebooks never mention.

Jack picked us up at our hotel and was actually a little early, which was fine because we had just stepped out of the hotel to get a breath of fresh air. Our first stop was a spot overlooking the Lakes of Killarney where Jack took some wonderful pictures of us.

After that Jack took us out to the the Dingle Peninsula, which was the object of our tour. As we arrived on the Dingle Peninsula, we stopped at Inch Beach. If you have never been there, it is a “must see” gorgeous beauty spot. Jack knew a location that gave us a different perspective and great views.

Jack took us to see a demonstration of sheep herding by a sheep dog. It was fun and very informative. As captivating as the demonstration was, the views were breathtaking!

Our next stop was Dunquin Pier. We have been to the Dingle Peninsula three times before - once with another tour operator and had never made it to the Dunquin Pier. It has been on our “bucket list” and Jack made it happen! He didn’t just drive us past the Pier, he parked and gave us plenty of time to walk the pier and take some stunning pictures.

Following the Dunquin Pier, Jack took us to Kruger’s Bar, which is Ireland’s westernmost bar. The food was great, the people were wonderful and the views were beautiful. Jack was kind enough to join us for lunch and told us the history of the bar. If you haven’t understood it until now, Jack is a great conversationalist and knows A LOT about the area and its history.

Brandon Beach was our next stop and as with Dunquin Pier, Jack parked and gave us plenty of time to walk around and take pictures of the beautiful countryside.

Jack took us through Dingle Town, but as we had already been there a few times before, we didn’t spend much time in town, preferring to keep touring. Our final stop was Connor Pass. We have been through Connor Pass a couple of times, but had always missed the most beautiful overlook. Jack knew just where to go. We took pictures of the spectacular views.

A little way down Connor Pass is a waterfall on the side of the road. Jack pulled over there too and we were able to get some more great pictures.

That was our last stop on the Dingle peninsula and Jack took us back to our hotel. There are not enough words to describe the wonderful experience we had. We are already planning our next trip and a day with Jack will certainly be on the itinerary! Thank you Jack and Jackie!

Patrick was a fabulous guide and driver. He was extremely flexible and tuned in to our interests and made a real effort to ensure that all six of us were having an experience that met our expectations. We challenged him often I believe as we were all independent, strong women. He had to deal with some unexpected events and did so with his usual charm. We experienced the sights, did some shopping (well, maybe a more than normal), and learned about the culture through our adventure and from sharing his company. I would highly recommend Patrick for any group as he and his father Pat will adjust to each group's needs.

We planned to drive ourselves until a friend said they hired a friend for a Scotland trip and said it was the best move. We agree!!

No stress with huge busses passing on narrow streets. Hubby could enjoy the views, take photos, have a pint at lunch, etc. She took us places we never saw in guide books..... hidden gems..... she was so kind & helpful, a pleasure the entire trip!

    So worth it!

Peter Stanley Tours was such a great value. We were promptly picked up at our VRBO and started the day strong on our Ring of Kerry tour. We visited Torc falls, and then headed out. We were able to get places the bus tours can’t quite make it to. Skelling was incredible with the views. Our guide was able to gauge good places for bathroom breaks and other stops. The day was full and you can make the tour your own. We preferred more scenic views over museums, but customize the way you want. Also there is cold water bottles on board.

Amazing experience!!! I was a bit intimidated of the narrow roads and general travel in Ireland. Dan was an extremely confident and safe driver. A wonderful historian and story teller. I am a bit curious and asked many questions. He always had an answer that satisfied my curiosity!! The sights and views Dan shared with us will be etched in my mind forever. Ireland is breath taking and will not disappoint. Dan thank you for providing a unique few days discovering Ireland and making our honeymoon an experience we will always treasure!!!

Billy was our driver (6 of us) for a 10+ hour day tour of the Dingle peninsula. He had excellent knowledge of the entire peninsula, but also let us take time to enjoy segments on our own. We saw many beautiful views along the coast, stopped at interesting historical sights and drove through scenic areas of the interior. The sights of this area of Ireland were wonderful. Billy's knowledge and interaction added the right amount of insight to make the entire experience fantastic.

We had a wonderful 3 days seeing highlights in Killarney. Aodan was our ideal driver…actually more of a personal tour guide. Book early as he will be in demand.

The highlight of our trip to Ireland! Booked a two-person tour with Aodan and we had a phenomenal experience doing the Slea Head drive. We were especially appreciative of his professionalism and flexibility. He made sure our needs were covered by personalizing our itinerary in Dingle, including a stop at Foxy John’s pub! Aodan brings so much personal and historical knowledge to his tour; we loved his conversational tone and insight. He also took us to an early Christian site, the Galarus Oratory, that was truly special. Can’t recommend this tour enough!
