Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- jej9001New York City, NY193 contributionsWhat a fun place. We were here off season so it was not crazy. Avoid it on Saturday night when stag and “ hen” parties fill the streets. We stopped in a a Sunday night and the place was filled with locals. There was a traditional band playing and several couples were dancing and having a grand time. Very welcoming! - Douglas3 contributionsThis is a perfect lunch spot for a day of shopping in Killarney. The food is traditional and a bit elevated. Everything tastes fresh and the service is smooth and friendly. The shepherd's pie with a chick was incredible.Written 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- davey1949Pickering, Canada647 contributionsExcellent pub, although a little pricey for drinks (2 pints of lager, 1 vodka Coke, 1 glass Prosecco = €31).
Friendly staff, great food. I had the burger (one of the best I have ever eaten), and others had the hake and chips. All very nicely done, piping hot, and delicious!
Busy place, even on a Monday, they don't take reservations, so you may have to wait. Well worth it though, so head to the bar until your table is ready.Written 12 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The menu has a good selection but is very much pub grub. The big plus for us was they allowed dogs, which was great.Written 12 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My son is neurodivergent and the chef went out of their way to accommodate him with his own custom roast. A perfect start to our stay in Killarney.Written 19 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Mike L1 contributionwas given a tip to visit Jack C’ in May of 22, stopped for a few pints and instantly knew that I would be back if ever in Killarney again.Upon my return in September of 24 Jack’s was my first stop. The Barman Ian recognized me immediately and we were made to feel at home. While enjoying the cozy atmosphere and chatting with the locals we got a lot of helpful tips to make our trip more enjoyable. We returned 3 nights in a row by which time we were treated like family. Joan,JC,Ian and Ginny are all great ambassadors for Ireland and Killarney in particular. For a great Pint of Guinness and some good craic Jack’s is a must visit. The guiness is probably the best pint we've had, the staff were welcoming and friendly, the locals were also friendly and welcoming. Keep up the good work, folks. - David VerdonDublin, Ireland51 contributionsMcsorleys location is fantastic right amongst the thick of things in Killarney. Staff were very friendly could not fault them and the rates were quite cheap. However this a nigtclub with rooms upstairs, no more no less. Families or anyone looling for a peaceful stay should not go here. Very noisy and very basic but certainly suits anyone who's on a party weekend.Written 10 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bryanedwinMilton Keynes, UK773 contributionsThat's right. Brazen. As in, they're not afraid to be just a simple Irish bar. Good craic, great Guinness.
