What travellers are saying
- Jack P2 contributionsI participated in their cocktail making class with my brothers and it was the highlight of our Dublin trip! Tom was an absolute pro and blast to listen to and learn from. During the class we learned how to make 3 different types of cocktails to highlight the variety of options you have with whiskey. Such a fun and unique experience I can not recommend enough.Written 24 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- eliz aLeeds, UK124 contributionsWhat a great tour, the man that took us round ( sorry forgotten his name ) was very informative and amusing. The tasting was great with good sized measures of Whiskey and a drink at the end.
Would recommend, do it its brilliant.Written 20 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - sus67London, UK237 contributionsThis museum sets out the emigration experience in great detail and it is both inspirational and heartbreaking to hear about the circumstances in wich the people left the Ireland. The audio guides are very good, be preapred to spend at least a few hours here.Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Julie de Bruin1 contributionBest Guide I have ever had for a tour! Leila did an amazing job, recommend strongly to go here! The enthousiasm together with the knowledge she had was perfect.Written 27 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Maija ELangley, WA67 contributionsWe found that ALL of the historical properties which are overseen by Ireland's OPW (Office of Public Works) are exceptionally well done and immaculately maintained. Our tour guide was amazingly well informed and interesting. This is such an insightful perspective of the turbulent history of the country's various efforts at independence. This is an important site and definitely worth visiting.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Joseph2 contributionsBrian gave us a great tour. He was full of information and ready to answer all questions. +Friendly.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- packydermCambridgeshire, UK577 contributionsThis is a beautifully kept cemetery full of history. Some sort of guide is necessary. I have been twice. The First time a few months there were no guides of any kind. This time the 'live' guide formour time slot fell ill so we had the option of the audio tour. It was just enough but overhearing an earlier tour made it clear a human guide really would bring history to life. Useful access via a gate to botanical gardens roo.Written 24 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- sus67London, UK237 contributionsA beuaitful old college, the site for many films, and a lot of hisotry to boot - the library is wel worth roaming around.Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- sus67London, UK237 contributionsI am not a huge beer drinker, but tis museum is superb and even my teetotal companions enjoyed this and found it educational. Probably one of the highlights of our visit to Dublin.Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- sus67London, UK237 contributionsThere is A LOT to see in this museum, so be preapred to spend a couple of hours! The peat presevred bodies were a particualr highlight - if slightly gruesome!Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- porter_osborneWaco, TX749 contributionsWe enjoyed a nice stroll through the peaceful park. Enjoyed the statues, birds, and plant life. Good place to relax amid the bustle of the city dynamics.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- porter_osborneWaco, TX749 contributionsLoves the old library. TTakes you back to the old days of higher education and reminds us of the long history when women were not allowed to participate. BoK was a Good exhibit. Would be better if there was a balance of information about adverse impacts of the missionaries on the local communities.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- sephirothseviltwinAylesbury, UK103 contributionsWe did not know what to expect other than it is a large park. Large is an understatement, it is bigger than the centre of Dublin, and it is beautiful! There are three herds of deer, that are tame too! There is a lovely lake, many flowerbeds, and plenty of pathways to walk. For anyone who has difficulty with walking there is not a lot of seating though. There is a wonderful hidden gem of a pub, called The Hole in the Wall too! Lots of wildlife to see on the way, along with the Presidents Palace and American Ambassador (both viewable from outside gates)
We really enjoyed it here!Written 26 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Caroline CLeeds, UK55 contributionsWe really enjoyed our visit to these gardens - there is so much to see and entry is free. It's a lovely location and is a very relaxing place. It was a 20-minute walk from the tram. Seating in the cafe is limited but there are quite a few benches outside,Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jenny SNew York City, NY8 contributionsWent to check out this quirky place while exploring Temple Bar in Dublin. They have everything from Phil Lynott’s report card to a pair of Michael Jackson’s pj’s. Our guide, Alan, was funny, very knowledgeable and made everyone feel like his new best friend. Thanks for introducing me to so much more Irish Rock N Roll than the Cranberries and U2 ( not that there’s anything wrong with those guys! )Written 18 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
