Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulously entertaining précis of 20,000 years of Irish history. Isabelle kept her audience engaged. Highly recommended

A lot bigger than I realised. Had a nice lay down on the grass and rested for about an hour while enjoying the sound of the birds tweeting, leaves rustling and lawn mower going WRRRRRRRR

Our local guide Emily did an excellent job telling us about the buildings and history of Trinity College, well worth paying for her entertaining and informative tour. The book of Kells experience is excellent.

We splurged on the total Book of Kells experience. Our €33.50 ticket got us a group tour (about 20) with Paul. Paul was knowledgeable, pleasant, welcomed questions and generally made the experience worth the price of the ticket alone. The Book itself was underwhelming but greatly appreciated for its antiquity and importance and the lead up of information and illustrations to the book gave a nice close up of the artwork. The third part of the ticket included a new, interactive and amazing audio/visual experience. We spent about 2 1/2 hours including a stint in the magnificent and busy gift shop. Use these toilets. 👍🏻
    A great overall experience!

It's not huge but what is there is fabulous. Most of it has been dug out of the ever decreasing bogs and go back centuries. The main centre is full of gold treasures which are just amazing. There is a large Viking section and some Egyptian artefacts they secured at some point. The bit I hadn't expected but were fascinating were the Bog Bodies. This is a trigger warning. They are avoidable because to reach them you have to descend through a spiral blocking accidental glimpses from outside and restricting light to the remains. Amazing to see what was preserved but recognise this is not for everyone.

It is not possible to visit Dublin without visiting some bars in Temple Bar. Very relaxed atmosphere, but like all places with lot of bars, there are a lot of people drunk on the street.

We visited the museum in our stay in Dublin. You can visit the exhibits in about 2-hrs. The exhibit Sacred Traditions explores religious traditions from across the East Asian, Islamic and Western regions. Entry is free. In addition to the exhibits there is a nice cafe and the museum abuts a nice park.

Absolutely brilliant experience. Both serious and funny all in 1 tour. The guide, lucy, was great. A wealth of knowledge and so friendly you felt encouraged to ask your questions (or in my case, make sarcastic comments). The "wine aunts" before the tour were great craic. It's lovely to see staff who actually enjoy their job, like their coworkers and have good craic with the customers. My sister and I learned so much from the tour that we as irish people feel we should have known already. We've been recommending it to everyone since we came back to work. We even got to pretend to be pirates after!!!. 10/10
The only thing the tour needs is a cat in the corner downstairs... you know, for all the rats there would have been back then. Most important.

I returned to Dublin after many years abroad, and revisited Christ Church earlier this week.

As soon as I walked up I could see changes. The grounds are more landscaped than I remember. The charge of a visitor fee is new too, but understandable.

I didn't opt for the audio guide. I prefer to do things at my own speed. Memories came flooding back as I walked up the nave, and when I reached the transepts I was holding back tears

I was confirmed into the Church here many decades ago. I remembered some of my school friends who were too. Most of them are no longer with us alas.

The crypt is a bit tidier than I remember too. The museum part is very well presented. The staff were very pleasant and attentive.

I needed some clarification on a few things and approached a man at the desk. I didn't get his name but he had a real Dublin accent. I had a little chat with him on the way out, and it transpires he was born and bred in the Liberties where I hale from myself. He was very helpful.

God bless you all for a lovely visit.

Watched a busker perform. A very good singer. Louis Walsh should sign him up immediately.

The historic castle was not only home to the British and Irish governments but host to many dignitaries and writers like Charles Dickens and Bram Stoker. Its high ceilings and ornate chandeliers are beautiful as are the rugs, drapes, portraits and everything else. I loved it!

2 work groups of 15 persons did the private guided tour at lunch time. Cost was €100 for each group. The tour was about 1 hour long and included the main highlights of the gallery. The tour guide was the same on both occasions her name was Delores. She was absolutely brilliant. I was lucky enough to attend both the tours. Delores was enthusiastic, engaging, witty and really knew everything about the paintings the painters and more. It was a super way to spend a lunch hour and I would totally recommend those in walking distance to do this.

This is an amazing library and one that is not well known. It is worth the time to see this early public library and learn about the founder. As a bonus, there was a fascinating exhibit on maps of early America.

Merrion Square Park is a lovely Park. It’s nice to go for a walk on a lovely day or go for a picnic, sunbathe etc… There is a playground also for kids. It’s within walking distance from the City Centre, hotels such as the Merrion and it’s easy to find.

We went to see Sive last night. It is a wonderful show. Great cast. Norma Sheahan played a blinder. The audience were captivated by the performance. A show not to be missed
