Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- AideenBlackrock, Ireland2 contributionsMy daughter is just home from her first ever horseriding lesson at the Paddocks with her two cousins. The team (and biscuit the pony) at the paddocks were amazing, so friendly, professional and provided a great environment for learning! She had a ball and is already asking when she can go back!! Thanks again.Written 18 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Josefin W1 contributionFor a solo traveler this is truly a perfect kind of trip to explore Ireland and ride great quality horses. I cannot recommend this location and the BEI team enough!
From arrival to departure I felt very cared for and like being welcomed in the home of dear friends. The team is very genuine, caring, fun and easy going with a high level of professionalism. All rides felt safe and they are able to cater for all kind of riders & levels which I saw from the first day onwards as the groups during my week was very diverse.
Since I wanted to make this week more special I reached out beforehand to ask for a customized itinerary including a day on a cross country course with jumping which they added on top of the beach rides. This was amazing and one of my best riding experiences ever!Written 28 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We got told loads about our horses and they were all so well looked after and tidy. Hannah Buddy and Cindy were so well behaved and really loved their job. They were so forward but not silly and not a bad bone in their body. After we did the forest trek we were offered to have a little jump in a field and all the horses were lovely. We had a slight mishap after one of the jumps and ended up getting home a little quicker than we thought and with a bit more adrenaline than we thought - but we were all okay and Jessie was so lovely about the whole incident and made sure we were all alright. It was no fault of the owners, just a bit too much excitement! Even while the other horse was taking off our horses were so calm and stayed in behind. Couldn’t give it a bad review, we’ll definitely be back!Written 9 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Denise KCounty Dublin, Ireland16 contributionsAshtown stables are THE best stables to learn how to ride or to go for a hack in the fantastic Phoenix park. Kevin and Chris are wonderful hosts and expertly match people with horses. You will not find better horses anywhere in the world, they know their job and are amazing with traffic, events going on around them and gentle with people. It is the friendliest yard I have ever been in. Weather is never a problem here, the horses are used to rain hail sun and if we are lucky enough snow. if you wish to experience wonderful horses, people and hosts the Ashtown is definitely a must.Written 22 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sharon K22 contributionsWe visited Carrickmines Equestrian as novices as a treat for the easter holidays. My 4 year had been asking for ages and I was nervous but wanted to bring her and her big Bro too. I had nothing to worry about the staff were great and the kids no doubt were better then me. As novices we booked the walk out which was the average price going but unlike other centres we got to do it ourselves not in a group and were given get attention so I felt it was real value for money. We took the luas out to citywide and for a small fee were picked up and brought to the centre by a very nice and helpful lady who also dropped us back for no extra fee. We got suited and booted and we're taken out to arena to meet our horses and learn the basics. We had 3 lovely timid horses perfect for us beginners and small kids. When we were comfortable we were led out on our walk out around the fields. It was really enjoyable, the views were lovely and the staff were pleasant and professional. I wish I had of thought of asking them to take a few snaps for me though. We had a great day and will definitely go back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend itWritten 21 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 387indyCoral Springs, FL4,762 contributionsSouthwestern edge in County Clare, run for about ten miles. You can take Moher Ferry to view the towering cliffs, that was a little cold for me. However the locals were cycling, golfing, genealogy, bird watching. They have facilities, restaurants, both I loved.Written 6 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
