Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I remember when getting on the ferry to Cherbourg was the start of the holiday but now it is something to be endured. The staff look so sad and if it is true they are badly paid you feel somehow complicit in their treatment. The food in the Boylan restaurant served on a cold plate is terrible and I see more and more travellers bringing their own. I wonder would the people who own this company be happy with the brown lettuce contained in a cardboard box. Surely it is time to take a long look at this. This is a really good ferry being let down by people intent on cost cutting and greed. Not the Irish way.

Birkenhead to Belfast - Last minute trip and all cabins were booked so opted for the Hygge Lounge option BIG MISTAKE! Hygge translates to extremely uncomfortably (to be fair, if you can sleep on your back on a 45 degree concrete bench you'll probably like it) Most on my trip gave up and were sleeping on the floor - if I'm unfortunate enough to do this again I'm buying a single use air mattress - I have done this trip before with a cabin and was really impressed - next time cabins fully booked, air mattress or Cairnryan - Belfast !

Caught the ferry from Liverpool to Dublin on Monday and returned on Friday,
although mainly for freight the ferries are comfortable and clean although there are some stairs to negotiate which rules out persons with disabilities. On the plus side two free meals are included and the price is great.

This was an excellent trip. Jimmy explained what all we were seeing as we were going out and coming back in. He was very interesting and informative in a very fun way. I would highly recommend putting this on your to do list while in Dublin. Thank you Jimmy and Dave!
