- SharonDublin, Ireland13 contributionsWe wanted to do a day date for our anniversary this year. Both living in Dublin. We wanted something a bit different . We chose to do the Viking splash tour. Keith and Blad were the tour guide and driver. There was nothing but pure laughter the whole tour. While learning about the history of Dublin’s fair city it was kept witty with Keith’s one liners - while keeping it PG for younger vikings!
The lovely Viking hats help you get into true Viking character and roaring at passers by was great fun! Very safety conscious at all times, particularly when it came to the water part of the experience. The tour is a little over an hour and is the perfect experience to view Dublin in a different way. As a Dubliner, we don’t appreciate what’s on our doorsteps! I can’t recommend Viking splash tours enough. We will definitely be back next year when our two kids are both old to be little Vikings! Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Annie RBracknell, UK26 contributionsJust to get this out of the way- I would recommend booking directly with Wild N Happy, as we tried to book with TripAdvisor not realizing the slot we booked was full. But Colin messaged us right away and we were able to get a different time with no fuss. Not sure if it’s a problem with TripAdvisor, but something to probably bear in mind.
Now onto the good stuff! We were the only two in the group, which made it feel really special and we got to spend quality time out on the lake. Mick and James were our guides and they were both very friendly and had great humour. Mick lead the tour and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, nature and geology of the lakes. We got to spend time on Innisfallen Island, where we saw an abbey and some Sika deer, which was truly amazing. We even saw Sika Deer before we set off which felt even more special, as the guides hadn’t seen them that close! It was a great 2 hours, which we only wish was longer! It went by so quickly! And Mick took loads of photos, which he shared with us straight away- he took some really great shots of us in the water and of the castle and island we visited. Would highly recommend this activity if you are feeling a bit adventurous and want to see the lake from a different perspective. Jack, our guide, made sure safety was paramount, and yet still made it fun. His “tour guide” stops were a great way for visitors to get a flavour of the history of Dublin and the Irish state.

I've longed to visit the island, but never knew how to go about it. Last weekend I went on the Lambay Island tour with Skerries Sea Tours - Gerry and George were our guides - and the experience exceeded all of my expectations. Gerry is a fount of knowledge and a wonderful storyteller, bringing the challenges and pleasures of island living to life. Both he and George clearly have a deep love and respect for the island and the people and wildlife who live there, and their affinity for the place is contagious. I'd highly recommend this tour whether you are visiting from abroad or being a tourist in your home county. Nicole Casandra and Beatriz made a wonderful experience exceptional with their genuine attentitive friendly approach. The Chefs and crew are to be commended on such a great night with a menu that provided freshly cooked food to a very high standard. Spotlessly clean boat all round and such great value for money we will be back. - MyCabin1 contributionMyCabin came here for a staff day and had a blast. Helmets, buoyancy aids, and wetsuits are all provided. It's a wonderful experience, and the staff is all extremely friendly. Even though the age range in the class varied from 13 to 50 everybody was made to feel equal and comfortable. No complaints. Thanks to our amazing local tour guide Marcus ,who showed us beautiful and unique sites: from breathtaking views to kayaking activity, Whiskey distillery, Filming locations from “Game of Thrones”, Irish folklore and history and local music and an amazing hospitality at Marcus house and his family, which was unforgettable evening. Thank you Marcus for being so kind, professional, generous and always with a smile, which made our trip to an amazing and unforgettable adventure.
