We had seats in the Pavilion on 26th, had a great time. Food was delicious, bar service efficient, waiters and betting staff were all friendly, everyone seemed to be having a good time. We made the mistake of trying to get a taxi out afterwards, the drivers keep their light out so that they are not obligated to pick up (drunk) passengers, so as the light fades it all becomes a bit of a farce. We should have taken the free shuttle out and then transfer back to the city centre.

If this is the first time you go to a Casino (like I did), there are some important things you need to know that is not written anywhere:
1 - The chips you gain for the subscription can't be exchanged for smaller chips. So no, with the 30 euros chips you will not be able to play 30 times on the table, just 3 times (you gain three 10 euro chips) BUUUUUT what you can do is place this chip on the Black/Red at the Roulette, so you have 50/50 chances of winning and then you can exchange your chips.
2 - The website mention that the bets start at 0,50 cents, but that is for the machines. If you plan to play on the roulette, minimum bet is 1 euro for numbers, 5 euros for columns/dozens and 10 euros for collors.

I liked the place, but since I was never in a Casino before I was expecting that I could use my 30 euros free chips to play a lot more.

I have never been to a casino in Ireland despite many time visiting there. On this trip we decided to see what they were all about. Much different than ours in Michigan and all seemed to be geared to private membership. However, they made us feel very welcome and helped us with the different way to gamble in their establishment. It was fun and informative. Great Staff!!!

Empire is good spot to go if you fancy a few spins. There's a good selection of machines and free biscuits/tea as well.

They have bingo every couple of hours as well and there's always the potential that you can win the snowball. Good atmosphere in the casino at these times, and a lot of jackpots to play for.

Stunning little casino in a beautiful Art Deco style. Cost €20 to join which you the received back in chips. We didn’t stay long as early hours of the morning but would definitely visit again just for the decor which was beautiful. Gaming wise very limited but we liked that

I had some time to kill and decided to pop in here because the sign said "Roulette". They checked my I.D. and a creepy guy gave me a tour of the place. It was pretty deserted and all the patrons looked sketchy. I ended up playing an interesting video roulette game, and I am pretty sure it was honest,. I ended up winning 23 Euro playing largely by myself. I was there for the hourly draw, didn't win, and then vamoosed.

Good for local colour. But keep an eye on your wallet.

    Explanation required.
In relation to my wife and myself being refused entry into Dr Quirkeys emporium on Sunday 7th November, at approx 3pm without been given an explanation, I am mailing you as advised by one of your managers for an explanation as to why we were refused any reason.
We are both 78years old, have been playing at you arcade casino for over 20years,without any problems.
We are both fully vaccinated and covid compliant. And never had any problems in the past.
We are known to some of your longer term staff members including Dave, manager. He acknowledged we are valued elderly customers, with no gambling problems.
We woul appreciate if you give us a reasonable explanation, as to why we were refused entry.
    Yours sincerely Seamus Kelly.
