Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our time at EPIC was spent with Dr. Declan Brady. He was a wealth of Knowledge about Irish & American history. He provided me with some tantalizing clues about my hard to locate great-grandmother. Thanks!!

Thank you to the people of Ireland who have made this treasure available to the public free of charge. There are many of exhibits of the ancient history for viewing, including Ogham stones, bog bodies, and gold artifacts. If you have an interest in archaeology then go--you won't be disappointed

14 Henrietta Street started out as a grand Gregorian manor fit for the elite. In time, however, stark economic conditions brought changes and it became a tenement house with multiple families calling it home. The tour provides an up close history of Dublin life in this neighborhood. It was very educational and worth visiting.

A really great time for me & my 11 year old. We took the last time slot of 3:30pm as they close at 5pm, and honestly we needed more time to explore, as by 5pm we had not completed it all or visited the tower.

This aside, we had great fun and found it very informative, interesting, engaging and funny in parts.

As you go through the displays, look out for the interactive components as these were fun to do and some proved educational for us both. It was great to learn more of the history of Vikings in Ireland.

It was a really fun afternoon & suitable for all ages.

Excellent commentary by Jerry. Very informative and interesting. You formed a good feeling of what it would have been like to cross the Atlantic in the Jeanie Johnston. Good value.

This museum has an odd assortment of different exhibits. I was only interested in the sections on World War I and the battle for independence and subsequent civil war, though. Those exhibits were very good and exactly what I was looking for.

Not sure why they have Asian ceramics and some other things but I just skipped them.

On the whole I would rate the place a 4 but it was a 5 for the areas that I visited.

I really loved this museum. The reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because I think it would really benefit from more written descriptions of the animals on display. Some have longer descriptions but many do not. Some are even missing a label of what the animal is. But in general, its an entertaining way to spend an hour or so. I was with two kids, ages 6 and 8 and they were kept interested for the duration. They especially liked the bugs, and the golden eagles. My daughter loved the peregrine falcons. When we were there the second floor was closed, it was just one big (densely packed) room, and there weren't the zebras or elephants I see in the pictures online. But it IS free and I can say in light of that, it is more than worth your time to stop by.

I really enjoyed learning about the history of the print press and the huge impact it had on how information could be shared. This is a very intimate museum which is free to visit but the 7 euro tour is well worth doing and helps support them keep these amazing machines in working order. Our guide Liam was very passionate and engaging and I enjoyed how interactive it was and particularly liked the anecdotes Liam shared about certain phrases in English that came from printing that we still use today.
If you're there early or have some time after the tour the cafe next door called 'Press Cafe' has delicious mixed berry scones!

We went to Seamus Heaney exhibition. It was extremely well done and very informative. A lot of pictures and also original works were on display. how brilliant of him to give these pictures and poems to the library before he passed.

A terrific exhibition! Go see it!

I happened to notice a guy on the street outside a shopping centre in Grafton St with a placard advertising it. Very glad I did.

The exhibition is informative, easy to navigate, well curated and supported with excellent research and visual documentation.
    It covers it all.

I’m an Australian and only exist because a family from County Clare managed to get on a boat and emigrate because of the potato famine. It’s a dark period in Irish history which affected so many other countries long into the future.

Well done and thank you for such an informative experience.

Short, factual poetic history. What a hidden gem! A lady getting off the bus with us actually walked us to the door for this free exhibit. If you go to Trinity College or Christchurch you simply cross the street or turn the corner.

Very nicely kept for a government run building. Just explored the outside as going inside costs moneyyyyy.

Very interesting and nice architecture on the outside and some memorials around the back you can see through the fence

Building dates from 18 century, it's located in Dublin city center - Dame street. It's next to the Dublin castle, so it's great to do both tours. In town hall you'll find beautiful exhibition about historical Dublin.
