Martin is the best guide ever. He lives what he does. It was a funny experience and almost a family atmosphere. We also liked the pubs outside from Temple Bar and the Informations from Martin. Thank you from Thomas and Chris from Germany!

The whole experience was excellent, other than it being a cold and rainy evening, but that is not unexpected in Ireland. The musicians were very talented and engaging, full of interesting facts and stories. Arriving early at the first pub allowed time for a simple supper before the music for going. Definitely recommend it!

Thanks to Meabh for a relaxed, fun & informative tour. Loved that we were walking in the steps of famed musicians and sound engineers, finding out about a world normally behind closed doors. Thanks very much for opening the studio to the public and sharing some of your amazing experiences as well as your daily life with us.

Great tour of some of Dublin’s street art. Loved getting the back story about some of the amazing pieces. Our guide was really passionate about the artists.

This tour was SO GOOD! I've been living in Dublin for years and have been on loads of tours. This was by far the best and most unique. Joe, our guide, had obviously researched the hell out of the content and had a personal interest in the more esoteric side of Irish history and culture. So instead of getting the same, surface level stories you get on other tours (which are a great starting point) you see a deeper side of Dublin. My friends and I will definitely be going on more Alternative Dublin tours!

So much fun!! We were in Dublin for a hen party, needed an activity for a large group. A few people were a little apprehensive about how this would go, but it was such so much fun and a great ice breaker if you have a mixed group! Passers by were stopping to watch and filming us boogey our way around, and it only encouraged the fun. Great guides, great song choices, highly recommended!!

We had one day in Dublin and were lucky to find John Caffrey as a tour guide. We might have wandered aimlessly through three fantastic museums, but John was able to focus on select features of each, providing fascinating context and history to the exhibits we were interested in. It was by no means a “canned” tour, and John was very flexible and generous with his knowledge and time. We learned more in four hours with John than two weeks traveling through Ireland! Easily the best “bang for your buck.” My only regret is that we didn’t have the time for his other tour offerings!

We had two days in Dublin, loved it here. We took in the Jeanie Johnston famine ship. Trinity College, the long room and Book of Kells, Dublin Castle, the Prison, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Christ Church, temple Bar , walked along the River Liffey and went through numerous shops and of course The Guinness StoreHouse. We loved Dublin ,we loved the people, the Irish food! Great experience!

This was our 2nd visit to Dublin, so we decided to take a private tour with Eamonn. It was Awesome! We did bus tours the last time we were there. The bus tours were decent; I have no complaints, but Eamonn really took it to a whole different level. He showed up at the hotel to pick us up, right away he was very personable and a connection was formed between us. I mention that because without it, 12-13 hours with a stranger can be a very stressful thing! My daughters and my wife Catherine had nothing but great things to say about Eamonn when we returned to the hotel. If you knew my daughters, that alone would impress you:-)

During the ride to Galway Eamonn provided historical details, facts, fiction, fun, and music. He did take a couple of breaks to give us time to reflect:-)

Eamonn suggested we do Galway first because of the weather. It was a good call. My family loved Galway. In fact, if we go back again they suggest staying in Galway.

The ride to the Cliffs of Moher Eamonn continued to educate and entertain. We stopped for lunch in a small town/village, it was the best stew I've had in a very long time. Catherine doesn't really do stews, but I think she's going to start:-) We pretty much had the Cliffs to ourselves (there were just a few other people there at that time). The weather was great except the windchill dropped the temperature about 20 degrees, but visibility was unrestricted for miles!!! It was a truly unique experience, and if we go back we'll do it again!

I'm still working through the photos we took, but I'll add a few (which Eamonn took). My suggestion is you go and make your own memories. In case you are wondering Catherine's grand mother was Irish, and my daughters are 17% Irish. As for me, I do have Irish in my blood, but I really like Guinness:-)

    Eamonn, you are awesome!

Don't book this tour. It is a complete scam. And expensive scam too. They say that they have tours by literary experts and sent us someone who said nothing either about Dublin or its history for 1/2 an hour. The only thing he seemed to know about Joyce was that he was "complicated." He seemed to have no plan for the tour. We stopped the tour and tried to get our money back. But we are no the tickets are non-refundable.

We will never forget Bartle. He was a fabulous guide. I’d almost say perfect but it might go to his head😉

He was ready and waiting for us at our hotel. Bartle radiates warmth and attentiveness. He is a wealth of knowledge and knows how to be concise, clear, very open to conversation, questions, and laughs.(He is hysterical at times!) He knows his way around Dublin with his eyes closed (not that we tried that) and hidden gems within. He recommends tourist attractions to skip unless you want to go there and takes you to places you might never imagine.

Never have we met someone like Bartle before and I doubt that we will ever again. He was The Perfect guide for us in Dublin and we’ll never forget him. He will always be a very significant memory of our trip to Ireland.
