Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Matt MGlendale, CA46 contributionsI did the Black Barrell blending class, led by Josh. I actually didn't mean to sign up for it. I thought I was just signing up for the regular tour and history and a couple of shots at the end. But my mistake turned out to be a great thing. Our group got an excellent introduction into the history of Jameson's and then a unique tasting class where we had the opportunity to create our own whiskey from the various elements that go into making the Black Barrell product. It was fun, tasty, and a great learning experience.Written 5 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lou IuppaWake Forest, NC58 contributionsThe Teeling Distillery tour is an inspiring journey through the rich history of Irish whiskey, from its golden age when it dominated 60% of the global market, to its near disappearance, and now, its triumphant resurgence. The story of Irish whiskey is truly one of rebirth, like a Phoenix rising, and Teeling Distillery has played a crucial role in reviving both the industry and national pride in this unique spirit.
Marc, our guide, was exceptional—an engaging storyteller with a deep well of historical knowledge that brought each chapter of the Irish whiskey story to life. His passion was infectious, making every detail, from the distillation process to the heritage of Irish whiskey, feel vibrant and alive.
We attended as part of a corporate event, and Teeling’s team handled every detail with care and precision. However, the tour's intimate feel would be equally well-suited for small groups, offering the perfect balance of historical depth, entertainment, and hands-on experience. The Teeling Distillery tour is more than just a tasting—it’s an experience steeped in culture, history, and the pride of Irish whiskey.Written 12 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Met by friendly staff, felt welcome from the moment we walked through the door, the atmosphere was brilliant. The tour itself was engaging and informative, but fun and entertaining. The workshop was fun and eye opening, started this trip avoiding whisky based cocktail, this has completely changed since completing the workshop. Highly recommend to anyone (even if you don’t like whisky!!!!) we will definitely return!!! Fantastic bar at the end too! Thank you again Luke!Written 9 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- The Traveling CoeliacDublin, Ireland350 contributionsWe did the Gin School - gin making class. Such a laugh! Great fun from start to finish, the group all got to chat to each other during it and our “teacher” was hilarious and brilliant! It was very relaxed and we each got to take home your 70cl bottle of gin that you make, a great experience!Written 4 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barry J8 contributionsGreat tour that was about an hour long, short enough for the kids and packed with plenty of tasting samples. We got an in depth knowledge of the distilling process and incredible amount of local knowledge and history from our guide Kelly. The board room was a great setting to do the tasting. This tour and atmosphere provided by Kelly was fantastic and far better value for money than more recognisable global Irish whiskey brand's tours.
I'd highly reccomend doing this tour.Written 29 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had some fun conversations with the bartenders and other customers.Written 23 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
