Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

    I recently bought a film camera from Joe which I was delighted with. Any time I pop in for a browse or to pick something up it’s always a lovely experience.

    I’ve purchased two items recently in this store.. both very unique ...it’s got an incredible array of costume jewellery & the staff are incredibly helpful.

    Tips ;

    You need time when you visit the shop as there is soooo much to see.

    They’ll also repair anything that you bought in the store. Or try to amend an existing item to meet your needs.

    Avoid lunch break as it’s their busiest time .

    Overall... Lovely stop off point when either living in or visiting Dublin !

    We absolutely love this place! Martin offers a fairly wide variety of quality antiques , priced very reasonably and about which he is very knowledgeable. In addition to finding a lovely piece we decided we couldn’t live without, we just had a blast talking with him! After we returned home to the US, Martin packed our piece (130-year-old wood and glassware - fragile !!) with great care and shipped it to us so it arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. We look forward to visiting Martin Fennelly Antiques again the next time we are in Dublin.

    Just happened upon this shop on our trip to Ireland this past Summer. My husband and I enjoy stopping in at antique shops and browsing, occasionally purchasing something of interest that catches our eye. Although we were not planning on purchasing a clock, the small store was too inviting to pass up. Kevin, the owner/clocksmith, was patient and accommodating in answering our questions, and quite tolerant in hearing about my Irish ancestors. Before we knew it, we bought a clock! Kevin made all the arrangements in shipping it to us and keeping us informed through the entire process. He is a gentleman that loves his work and it shows. I highly recommend Timepiece Antique Clocks. It is not a huge shop, but if you are interested in finding a specific piece, I'm sure he will be happy to assist you.

    Lots of grand decorative pieces, important 18th and 19th century furniture, friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Definitely a favourite place to visit - a cavernous building with rooms of beautiful furniture stretching back and back.

    This woman has absolutely no concept of customer service. I had bought a dress from this shop and when I wore it the zip would not go up at all, it was completely faulty. I brought the dress back thinking I could get a refund at least in part, or some sort of repayment due to the dress’s zip being completely faulty. The store owner said that that would be completely out of the question and that there was nothing she could do for me and walked away, saying I was being completely unreasonable. I asked her assistant if she thought I was being unreasonable and the assistant said no but that there was nothing she could do. The store owner came back over saying “there is no point talking to her, I make the decisions”. She then told me I was being unpleasant and told me to leave the store. I am very upset now, this is not how I interact with people and as a customer with a faulty item I hardly think it’s appropriate to be kicked out of the store. This woman is incredibly unpleasant and in no way a businesswoman, and I feel shocked and appalled at how I was just treated. Do not shop at this store.

    Near the top of Grafton Street and opposite St.Stephen’s Green. Good quality showroom with a solid reputation.
