Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The atmosphere is excellent as was the music. Great service but a bit pricey. Central London prices but great service and vibe

The atmosphere here is amazing. Talk about get the party started. Within 30 minutes of arriving in Dublin we were supping Guinness, dancing and singing along to the wonderful musicians in this pub. Very busy but the staff were still friendly and experienced. It lived up to all expectations of Dublins Night life. I can't say the same about the food upstairs though. I found the Irish stew very bland and not alot of flavour. Well Ive tried it now but the Guiness was so good.

A revisit for me but family had not been before. Always busy but found a good table. Service is great and our order taken right away-not long to wait for beverages or food. Food piping hot and portions were just right. Delicious and prices are average for the area. Live entertainment daily and you can hear it from the other areas of the pub. Staff are always happy and enjoy their jobs. Upbeat and friendly spot to go to. A go to spot when in Temple Bar.

This was the first pub we came to when we arrived in Dublin. Lovely decor, friendly staff, a few locals and a not too expensive pint of Guinness. We came back a few times during our stay but couldn’t get in one day because it was so popular.

First visit to Ireland, decided to visit Dublin. Walking around found this bar/restaurant. Was shown to our seat, we was welcomed with a lovely warm smile and greeting.Leah our server was lovely, gave a great advice on the food also acted a brilliant tour guide on where to visit etc, if this is the start of what to expect, we are in for a treat. Thank you very much, by the way food was gorgeous.

This lovely Pub/Restaurant is right at Ha’ Penny Bridge. We were there on a Thursday night. I could hear the music outside and it drew us in at 6:00pm — we left at 10:00pm! My husband and I had a fabulous time! We had a high table in the bar, close to the singer. He was great; sang a mix of American and Irish music — the kind that gets everyone singing and clapping and dancing. And lots of people shared the fun; we met lovely people from Norway and from Spain. Just the experience we were looking for!

The food was also very good. My husband had the chowder and I had Cottage pie. Delicious.
When it got busy, the wait staff was a bit slow coming to reorder drinks. Which was a good thing! LOL
    I highly recommend!!

Great place, friendly staff. Visited a few times last week. First heard about the place when Brian Johnson interviewed Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott here. Shame they didn't have Louder in stock! Love the beer bottle walls, really cosy pub with good music. The irish stew was super tasty and really enjoyed the Temple lager. Our waiters were all lovely and welcomed us back on our second visit. Loved that. Happy for us to go up to closed section to see the copper kettle too. Strict covid measures in place. 👍

We stumbled upon this little treasure of a place. The nicest Guinness I have ever tasted! Our server was brilliant so much so we came back again on our last day. The inside is like a treasure trove and very quirky. The landlord was very colourful and approachable if we ever come back we will visit this place again

Stopped in here on Sunday for lunch and to watch the rugby World Cup. Plenty of TV screens so no matter where we sat we could watch the game. Staff were attentive without being overbearing, our orders were taken and we had a drink while we waited. Lunch for me was the beef nachos which was very good. A massive portion so make sure you are hungry if you order them. My friend got the all day breakfast which he really enjoyed. Have been here before and will come back again if in the area, staff are friendly, menu is good and the set up for watching sports is great.

We stopped by to ask about a pubs with live Traditional Irish music and ended up getting to know a very friendly and informative bartender. Found out that Ha'Penny was having a session that night and the next. Noel was like an instant "old friend". We came back both nights and listend to some excellent tunes being played while enjoying Noel's recommended spirits. Had great a great time talking with the musicians after the session (I play old time fiddle) and mad more "old friends". We had a great time! Any time we spend in Dublin in the future will definitely include another visit to Ha'Penny Bridge Inn.

Underdog has moved to a new site at 1-2 Chancery Place and reopened . It really is a must for serious beer drinkers that want an interesting selection of top class craft ales in a welcoming and charming environment .There are plans for the restaurant to reopen on site as well. Whatver happens, I intend to visit on any occasion I visit Dublin

There is still the old Legal Eagle sign outside and it is at 1-2 Chancery Place NOT 75 Dame Street...they have moved!

Good selection of drinks, safe atmosphere. Really pleasant side bar near the entrance. Strictly followed Covid safety procedures while entering the venue for the gig.

Visiting the temple bar area is an experience if you don’t want to miss. Many many great restaurants and fabulous pubs. Many pubs have musicians that not only play great music but also involve the audience. Easy to hop from one pub to the next for a great time.
