Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- colette dBirmingham, UK361 contributionsA must go on a Dublin visit.
Cracking atmosphere.
Live band great. Even when the band finished the background music was good.
Busy and pricey but you have to go.Written 10 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Lisamarie LMadison, WI958 contributionsTemple Bar refers to the entire area, not just the one pub. This is a fun, lively area in the pedestrian part of Dublin. Crowded, lots of pubs, music coming out of every building...if that's your thing, you'll enjoy yourself. At the least, it's a fun place to walk around and people watch/soak up the energy. No illusions on how 'authentic' it is, but it's still a fun place to see.Written 20 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SillySallyNewJerseyNew Jersey102 contributionsGreat waitress & loved the fish n chips I ordered! Hubs is a vegetarian & he enjoyed the veggie burger he had. Loved the vibe, would’ve loved to go at night or when they had live music.Written 6 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rhona61Birmingham, UK148 contributionsThis pub was recommended to buy the barmen in Neary's
They said it had the longest bar in Dublin; it's a really cool bar, no music so plenty of opportunity to have a nice chat with friends
The toilet door in the women's loo is interesting 😁
Drinks reasonably priced too

It was busy enough for a late Thursday afternoon and the extensive Christmas decorations made for a lovely atmosphere. There are various drinking areas to explore. Oh, and the Guinness was good too!Written 1 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tony MLowestoft, UK1 contributionVery interesting and lots to see and do. Visited the 'have to go' Guinness Warehouse and O'connol street; also others such as the Arlington Hotel end the EPIC Centre.Written 22 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marcella BocciaMantua, Italy34 contributionsTonight, I discovered a little corner of magic in Dublin: The Cobblestone, an authentic Irish pub where tradition lives and breathes in every note. 🎶 In amazing company, I listened to live traditional music, those sounds that touch your heart and make you feel part of something greater. 🍀 Accompanied by a Guinness (alcohol-free for me!), I had a wonderful, unforgettable experience. If you’re ever around here, don’t miss it! Sláinte! 🍻Written 2 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The singers, dancers and musicians set a new standard for entertainment.

- Explorer7911905 contributionsTheir pizza is simply top class, lots of vegetarian options. The atmosphere is just great, only downside is that they didn't take bookings so there might be a bit of waiting to get a table. Other than that evening was a success, highly recommend them.Written 16 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mcgotesDallas, TX564 contributionsStopped by while completing a walking tour of the area and experienced the best menu and soup! Upstairs is an odd way of ordering (@ the bar), but apparently, it works for the kitchen and was well coordinated. Limited seating, but cool pub from the 1700s. May visit again for dinner.Written 22 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
