Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- themovabletypeBoulder, CO8 contributionsLocked out of my Airbnb flat across South Temple Lane (directly behind the place) after a long Stockholm-to Copenhagen-to Dublin day and the lovely bouncer across the street offered to let me use the facilities. Went in and was quite glad I did- the bands here are raucous and cover Queen Bey and Flobots rather than the same tired Lumineers and Angus/Julia Stone numbers. The staff—especially aforementioned bouncer and one incredible bartender—were ace. Definitely more of a dive atmosphere than the rest of the old-timey-tourist places, far less pretentious than any European bar I’ve been to outside of Berlin, have never seen a room full of grown men sing Lion King songs 😂 worth a visit if you’re not stuck on yourself and like to meet reasonable folks! 10 Euro minimum on card in case you’re a cheap date, and not a place where you’ll want to have an in-depth conversation, but you’re in Dublin, so...Written 2 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - acork55Boston, MA21 contributionsSo I got to Riverbar on Friday. Did the free class which was good fun for all and then I was looking to get into salsa/bachata but they launched into reggaeton. I went to tramline Bar (another Latin club) that occasionally has bachata classes and found out that the salsa/bachata starts after 11 at Riverbar. I went back and it certainly did! Crowded floor but some good dancing and music. Free entry as wellWritten 24 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We managed to find a table and sat down just for one drink. I know this place has a number of negative reviews but we literally only had the one drink and then left. It did have a good atmosphere and was warm and cosy.Written 5 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Well, if you are thinking of The Pod, forget it.. The "nice " peope at the entrance will never let you in. There are some alternatives though... Like The Undergound.Written 21 May 2010This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
