Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- kenbainesWrotham, UK555 contributionsStopped off for lunch on a Monday in early May and was amazed at how full it was! We were lucky to get a table for four but had excellent service and the food and drink were good.Written 29 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Canadian Traveler26 contributionsOne of the oldest licensed bars in Dublin, you've gotta stop in for a drink. The place is often packed and is no stranger to hosting celebs, including Bruce Springsteen.Written 16 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IrlantilainenKajaani, Finland420 contributionsA bit of the old Dublin I knew in the '60s slumbering on behind Tara Street station.
Myles na gCopaleen could still be in the snug, with a plug of Mick McQuaid, and studying the runners at Leopardstown..Written 25 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ThunderRoad88254 contributionsMy wife and I spent a great afternoon in here chatting to a very funny barman. Best Guinness we had in Dublin, and we tried quite a few pubs in search of the best. Just beat the Stag's Head in our opinion.Written 22 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DubTwosomeDublin, Ireland1,983 contributionsCalled in here yesterday on our way back from a morning stroll. We were looking for a quick lunch time snack and weren't disappointed. We ordered Chilli Beef Nachos (starter size) and a bowl of wedges. Very quaint interior to Taylors, can't believe I have reached this age as a Dublin (I won't say how old) and have never been inside the door of this establishment. It is full of memorabilia that could be another talking point, but we will go back another day for that. Being such a beautiful day we sat outside and our snacks were served promptly. The Nacho starter was quite substantial and the wedges were just a tad overcooked but hunger is good sauce as they say. We sat and watched the world go by as we dipped in and out of each other's snacks - accompanied by two chilled soft drinks - perfect way to spend an hour or two on a Saturday. We will definitely be back. Good value too!Written 28 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- kjf_xCarnoustie, UK1,354 contributionsNice little pub, tucked away off the beaten track. Good drinks and a good place to stop for a couple when exploring Dublin.Written 23 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jørgen KHovik, Norway419 contributionsWe went for dinner and had spare ribs.
Wow - they were good. Perfectly made and the meat "left" the bones with just a touch of the knife or fork.
BBQ-sauce also very good- nicely spiced( almost like the one I make at home).
Very nice waitresses - the dinner is served on the 1st floor( Ground floor is pub and music).
The music we enjoyed through loudspeakers.

- Jack Melham1 contributionI don't usually leave a review but I just had to comment on how awesome the show was. 7 euro for 2 hours of belly aching laughter! What a bargain. I ended up chatting to the host after. I think his name was Wayne Doogan. Lovely fella but seemed a bit full of himself. Tickets were sold out this week so it was annoying that I couldn't go.Written 28 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
