Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went with my family to get some lunch after touring Trinity College and we really enjoyed our visit! It is small and does have a step at the front entrance (not wheelchair accessible), but it is everything you would hope a victorian bar would be. The staff were professional but a tad curt, but honestly it just added to the overall pub experience. We had the cottage pie and some Guinness it was very good!

What an authentic amazing place to go. The other local pubs try to put you off by saying it's really expensive. It is a little more i.e. 16.50 euros for a mojito but it was worth it. It's a quirky little place that has lots of tiny rooms. The musicians were fully invested in keeping the crowd involved, lots of history and education. Sad songs, happy songs, a great experience.

Looking for a pint of Guinness on our first day in Dublin we found ourself passing The Long Hall. It can't have been long after opening time and we were almost the only customers. We received a warm welcome from the lady behind the bar and it was noticeable that, as the bar filled up, the welcome everybody received was just as warm. Yes, it is obviously on the tourist trail but it is none the worse for that. Go early, get settled in, and enjoy the atmosphere - and the Guinness.

Absolutely love this local pub. A very short walk from Trinity College + the center of Dublin. Good prices. I’ve made sure to go enjoy a couple of pints any time I am in Dublin!

Busy, crowded pub, but the food was outstanding. Basc service, which is likely due to the large crowd. Good variety on the menu. Give it a try.

It was hilarious, went with a group of friends once and has always ended up being a go-to at the start of a night out or just something to do in the week

I want to thank Tom for being an amazing host. I recently came back to Ireland from NY for my Aunts funeral in Monaghan. I spent a few days with my family and then met Aidan Connolly for some tunes at the Cobblestone. I play the fiddle and I love joining any session that I can. Tom and his friends were so welcoming and gracious and I would recommend musicians and lovers of music to come visit the Cobblestone. You won't be sorry. There is so much history steeped in the walls and music that fills this pub that it is definitely a must-see venue in Dublin, no matter what nationality you are. Thanks again Tom for making my trip memorable. Look forward to seeing you again soon! And God bless your Uncle John who gave me my first fiddle at the age of 10 yrs in Long Island NY. He helped keep the tradition alive in NY!!! Btw- Be sure to pick up some Cobbletone swag. Their t-shirts are awesome!!!!

My wife and I ducked into O’Donoghues Bar on our way back from the EPIC museum (and also to duck out of the rain!) We shared a “keg table” with three other people and wound up having a wonderful conversation over a few pints of Guinness. One of the persons was from the US and it turned out he taught at the high school my wife and I attended and we knew some of the same people…small world! Our other “table” friends were a couple from Dublin who were delightful to talk with. We wound up staying a lot longer than planned. The music and craic were both great! Nice place to stop in for a pint and listen to music.

Amazing ambience, great music and beers. Truely a 5/5 for a friends trip. However, the artist was mad we song the Virgil Van Dijk tribute…

I would like to express our sincere thanks and delight at the food you prepared for us over (chef KEVIN). All of our guests were also impressed at the super quality of the food - it was very tempting for me to try and claim that I did the cooking but the standard was so professional that there is no way any amateur could get near. It is difficult to single out any one dish as they were all memorable but Dall was particularly special.’probably the best homemade Indian food we had in Dublin .....I went to meet personally the chef and even to his manager and the business owner Mr Johnnie for looking after our group so well ....thank you for your hospitality a day to remember...

What a pub. The girls, Pauline and Monica are the best. Great service and a fab atmosphere. It's just a jem. Was there today and enjoyed the Guinness and a very fair price.

Their pizza is simply top class, lots of vegetarian options. The atmosphere is just great, only downside is that they didn't take bookings so there might be a bit of waiting to get a table. Other than that evening was a success, highly recommend them.
