The last time I was here was 15 years ago and they stepped up their game! It was so cool to see how immersive they made the tour. I was a little worried that it was going to be like it was before where you have a guide lead you around but I loved that it was self paced and interactive. Great job!

Wonderful Black Barrel Blending Class at Bow Street yesterday. Josh our Whiskey Ambassador/Guide was a fountain of knowledge bringing us seamlessly from the history and beginnings of Jameson right up to the present day. We learned everything from distillation to maturation. The really cool bit was we got to blend our own mini bottles to take home with us and had lots of tastings exploring what influenced the wonderful flavours of Jameson Black Barrel. Josh was knowledgeable and entertaining with a wonderful sense of fun. He obviously is passionate about his role and he made the tour a most enjoyable experience. We shall return.

Worth a visit. Interesting to learn about the history of this Bible. Unfortunately was quite crowded which limited our ability to see well but still it shouldn’t be missed. A nice visit through the university as well.

This park is located in the centre of Dublin and opened since 1880..for me the actions that occurred during the Easter Week of 1916 were new to me and as I strolled along the outside circle path and then walked into the interior of the park I noticed the many sculptures and notices giving information about the Irish Citizen Army to overthrow British Governing Powers…there are numerous benches , visually stunning views of the trees and water features along with the historic events…

Epic is just what it says! An exceptional Grade 1 Experience throughout. Incredibly moving in parts from the great Introduction vid on. In particular it cleverly covers off such a long period rite thru to the recent. I was born nearby in 1957 & left Ireland @ 10 Months Old. Altho i'm reconnected for a while now this visit was still massively important & informative with no tedious drag. The Irish work done around the world in frontline care as well as amazing constructions couldn't help but be a cause of Pride & altho i knew all this, the contrasting Magdalene stuff etc, antigay to first on gay marriage the presentation was real neat/balanced all through. Great Staff, clean safe etc. Go there ok! l'l return which is rare for me with a 'museum'! Thanks for a special experience. Tim

Fun fact - If you want to taste your way through a huge range of Irish Whiskeys, and have already visited plenty of Distilleries in other countries, or maybe have just come off a good look around Jameson's or Teeling's, you don't need to go on a 23 Euros guided tour of Dublin's Irish Whiskey Museum to do just that!
The upstairs Whiskey Bar at the Museum, just across a busy main road from Trinity College, is open to anyone who just walks in off the street, and the knowledgeable Barman will point novices in the right direction, with plenty of helpful and impartial advice.
My evening in the congenial surroundings of the McDonnell's Whiskey Bar was not only educational and informative but also entertaining, as free live music was provided on Saturday night, when the bar stays open until 22:30 hours.
On the Barman's suggestion I began with the House 15 year-old Single Malt (a snip at EUR 16:50 or GBP 13:70) and moved on to the Connemara 22 y/o. Which is pretty much the last thing that I remember before waking up in my hotel room next morning with a slight headache!

Tour Guide - Pat McGinley - was excellent ... knowledgeable and humorous. Looking forward to returning during 2025. A great tour for anybody with even a passing interest in Irish history. Complements also to the cemetery/grounds staff - grounds beautifully maintained and shop/restaurant staff very pleasant and helpful. Mairead & Denis, Tipperary

It seems most locals and tourists opt for a tour at St. Patrick's Cathedral. While I cannot speak to the tour, as we did not do one, what we did do was attend the weekday Evensong service in the evening. Actually being at a service was in my opinion much more unique than a tour. We may not have seen as much of the church, but we were allowed in for free and got to experience the heart of the church, with the choir and leadership leading less than 40 of us through a beautiful hour long service. A stop by St. Patrick's should be on everyone's list for Dublin, but if you have the time, I highly suggest attending one of the Evensong services!

This is a great place to wander and take in the history of Ireland.

Lots of artifacts - some more interesting than others as is always the case with museums in my experience, but the wall boards with the additional information and back stories were really appreciated and interesting.

Well worth a visit and it is free - although a contribution to their running costs is a reasonable request.

    Enjoy
