Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Mobile409549448458 contributionsI visited the Spa today for a full body massage. The robe didn't fit me so I asked for a bigger one and was told they are all one size. I was very disappointed by this and felt very uncomfortable. There is a larger community than myself and I feel there should be robes for all different shapes and sizes to ensure everyone feels comfortable. I had to wear a towel under my robe while waiting to be collected by my therapist which wasn't comfortable at all. This was the only down side of my visit today. I used the vitality suite and steam room before my treatment. It was lovely and warm and a very clean area. My therapist was Donna and I couldn't have asked for someone nicer. She came and collected me and explained what treatment I would be having. She then asked afew questions to make sure it was customised to my liking. The massage was so relaxing and she was so polite and it was lovely to have a chat with her. While opening up I expressed my disappointment with the robe sizing. She went into her cupboard in her room and pulled out a robe that fit me. This really put me at ease as I was able to go to the relaxation room wearing a closed robe. She brought me to the relaxation room and brought me lemonade and fruit this was lovely and she even went and got me a bottle of water and some ice I really appreciated this. I would like to return to the spa but would only do so if there was a robe to accommodate me as this really embarrassed me today and made me feel uncomfortable. I would highly recommend Donna to others and she was the highlight of my visit today. Thank you Donna you are a complete gem and a huge asset to the team!!Written 26 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The setting is spectacular and the kayaking is a fun way to immerse yourself in nature away from our usually hectic lives.
Our guides Oisin and Naoise did an amazing job bringing everything to life... nature, history and science. I loved the stories of the people and history of the area which left me wanting to explore and learn more.
We did experience the bioluminescence which came as a an added bonus but it would still have been a beautiful and memorable evening in West Cork regardless.Written 27 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Alex our tour guide/driver was very informative, fun and explained the troubles before we drove onto Belfast with honesty and an unbiased opinion. Thouroughly recommend it!Written 12 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- M K5 contributionsBrilliant! Funny, well-informed and entertaining. Not a dull moment. I think the locals should take this tour too! I learned and saw much more than if I had only done my own sightseeing. I loved the reenactments too.Written 14 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Martie T11 contributionsWe used About Ireland Taxi Tours after hearing about them from Jody through the Ireland Family Vacations Podcast. At first, the price seemed out of our budget, but given that we had a group of five, it worked out to be about the price of a day tour per person for each day we had a driver.
We chose to use the taxi tours to get us from one county to the next, with stops along the way. We didn't really know what we wanted to do along the way from point A to point B on our tours, so asked Bob to make some recommendations, which he did. We were in Ireland for 2.5 weeks, but only booked these tours for two days, using trains for the longer journeys, and taxis for the shorter ones.
We toured from Doolin to Dingle the first day, with a stop at Bunratty Castle, then lunch at Adair. Our driver Paudie was so wonderful, telling us stories and giving us history along the way. When we stopped at the castle and asked when we should return to the car, he said "it's your holiday. Take your time and come back when you're ready". It was so much better than being on a tour where you are required to meet back at the bus at a certain time. It was also very comforting to know that our luggage was safe with Paudie in the van all day as we were exploring around at the stops. Paudie is an excellent driver and navigated up and over Connor Pass, and around passing flocks of sheep with ease, whereas we would certainly have been white knuckling it the entire way.
The second day (three days later), we were picked up by Paudie in Dingle to drive to Killarney by way of the Ring Of Kerry, which was spectacular of course. We even got to tour the Skellig Ring which was unexpected. We stopped at the Kerry Cliffs which we didn't even know about, and found them to be just as stunning as the Cliffs of Moher. We made several other stops at beaches, sites, and a great place for us to picnic since we had packed our own lunch. Since Paudie lives in Killarney, he gave us lots of tips of places to see and things to do when we arrived there, as we were to spend the next three nights in his home town.
We are so happy we made the decision to use About Ireland Taxi Tours. We are not especially comfortable with driving on the opposite side of the road and didn't want to hassle with the car rental. Mostly though, just wanted to be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride and the gorgeous scenery along the way. I should also mention that Paudie mentioned at the beginning of each day that if there was anywhere we wanted to stop, we should just let him know, which was extra nice. I'd do this again and again, and highly recommend this company. You won't regret it.Written 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
