Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain23,872 contributionsSt. Anne's Church is one of the religious buildings located in Cork, the second largest city in Ireland. It was built in the 18th Century and nowadays it has a tower, which you can go up and see very nice views of the surroundings. Also, you can see the bell of the tower and visit the inner part of this little church. Very nice place, especially for the lookout.Written 29 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain23,872 contributionsButter Museum is located in Cork, the second largest city in Ireland. It is a very interesting museum, where you can learn a lot about the industry of butter in Ireland, his history and why Cork is a very important port in Ireland (in fact, the port is located in Cobh, near Cork). Really, here you can read about why butter is a very important food in Ireland and how Ireland was the main country to export this food.Written 29 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian Anthony MCork, Ireland5 contributionsWe had a great group experience at Elizabeth Fort this morning. We had a private tour with Miriam as part of our staff initiative to attend Cork's best attraction's to gather knowledge and learn more about the city.
We arrived in the rain. Our tour guide, Miriam, was fantastic throughout and the rain did not dampen her enthusiasm.
Would highly recommend Elizabeth Fort for anyone wishing to learn and explore some of Cork's finest history.Written 15 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. well worth a visit. The building is, for all intents, an Art Gallery, with a display of the best architecture, sculpting, painting and stained glazing.Written 3 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Museum is small but very interesting and tracks the history of the Irish Army from rebellion against British rule to its current roles, including a variety of United Nations deployments.
We were especially taken by the Michael Collins room with its fascinating selection of artefacts and written memorabilia from Collins’ personal, military and political life.
The visit was guided by Sergeant Denis McGarry. His guidance as curator of the collection was outstanding. We appreciated his broad-sweeping as well as detailed knowledge and his ability to tell a story of Irish history and the Irish army, covering over a century, which significantly enhanced our knowledge.
I can’t speak highly enough of this opportunity to visit the Collins Barracks Museum, Cork. It is a small Museum but it is a Cork and national treasure, as is Sergeant Denis McGarry.
Thank you Denis for a wonderful 2 hour visit.Written 24 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jacqui C1 contributionOur Book Club reserved The Parlour in Costigans for our Christmas get together. We had an author join us to read excerpts from his book. The Parlour was perfect for a group and extra cosy with the festive decorations. The staff were fantastic, friendly and attentive and we had a great night. Was perfect to be able to order pizzas from 4 Star Pizza and have them brought to our tables as well.Written 29 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sten E1 contributionI highly reccomend this if you are in cork.
It is cheap, very fun and the teacher is very kind and helpfull. It definitely gave me a taste of irish culture. And this is from someone who ordinarily does not like dancing and is not very good at it.
Dont be scared and try it out.Written 5 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - EMitchell1Cork, Ireland2 contributionsGreat night out. Highly recommend night at Comedy Club.

We didn't have as much time as we would have liked to hike around the island, but are really glad we made the trip! Exciting!Written 28 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Stewart ALondon, UK2 contributionsWe spent a wonderful evening on the water. The setting is spectacular and the kayaking is a fun way to immerse yourself in nature away from our usually hectic lives.
Our guides Oisin and Naoise did an amazing job bringing everything to life... nature, history and science. I loved the stories of the people and history of the area which left me wanting to explore and learn more.
We did experience the bioluminescence which came as a an added bonus but it would still have been a beautiful and memorable evening in West Cork regardless.Written 27 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
