Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The central quad is lovely and there are lots of historic stone buildings and sculptures around this city campus.

Beautiful green area in a really nice part of the city, close to Daly Bridge and UCC. We also had good weather, so we enjoyed a nice stroll, just when we were about to leave Cork.

I took the free guided tour on Sunday 7th of August, it was way above expectations as our eloquent art historian guide brought the selected exhibits alive for us and gave them meaning, from the collection of Canova casts, to the ‘shawlie’ sculpture by Seamus Murphy and the Jack B Yeats miniature on loan, it was all fascinating.

Upstairs we went to the oldest part of the building where the paintings, the city and the building itself were put beautifully into context by our guide. The one hour tour was both ‘just enough’ and ‘not too much’ information for a very sunny Sunday Cork afternoon.

This was such a pleasant experience, with lovely walkways for humans and dogs, as well as great views Great to get out of the car and be amongst greenery, and beautiful trees, also to see these are named, as the walk then becomes 3 dimensional a pleasure, healthy and learning too. Beautifully maintained. a real joy. Very quiet, I was surprised not to see more people enjoying this treasure on their doorsteps! Thank you Cork

Beautiful Catholic Church in the center of the city right off St Patrick’s St. Offers mass in Irish, Latin and English. We celebrated mass this past Sunday there and felt very welcomed. Though we did experience a woman begging for money after mass on the steps.

This is the main street of Cork city and has many of the large stores as well a a number of smaller stores (mainly chains rather than uniquely Irish). It is still enjoyable to wander down one side, cross over the road and walk down the other side. - good broad pavements help to make this easy and stress-free.

The site where Michael Collins, who helped establish a treaty with the UK in the 1920s, was assassinated by fellow Irishmen on August 22, 1922. Controversy still surrounds his death.

Rory was such a talent from an early age and musically put Ireland on the map. He could play many instruments and we are so proud of this Irishman
