Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Kathryn W8 contributionsInteresting to see. Food was good at the restaurant. Restaurant is located upstairs so easy to miss unless you know that. The remainder of the market is fresh meat, seafood, produce, and pastries.Written 24 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BraindamagedbaronNewark-on-Trent, UK1,849 contributionsArguably the heart of Cork's retail heart. An ideal place to find all of your High Street needs from budget right up to higher end fair. And dotted around are numerous cafes and eateries giving you ample opportunity for refreshments.
Something for everyone as you meander through the side streets and find your way around.

well worth a visit. The Harry Clarke exhibition was fascinating, I would have liked to learned about how the three exhibited panels were made. I’m sure that this kind of work was technically very challenging in 1910/11.Written 28 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rachael B1,890 contributionsUnfortunately by the time we were able to make it to this church it was closed for the day so we did not get to see inside but it does have a gorgeous gothic exterior that is worth stopping to see even if you cannot go inside. It is free to go inside during business hours. There is also a Capuchin Friary next to it.Written 10 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Aussie135London, UK855 contributionsThis little visitor centre is free and it is located in one of the city's oldest buildings and on the city's oldest and most historic road.
The centre provides lots of information, especially on walking tours, and is a useful place to visit. I found the information boards telling me about the history of Cork to be very helpful and informative. they gave me a much better understanding of Corks development and its relationship with the sea.
there is a cafe and toilets here too. Definitely put it on your walking tour and make it a stop.Written 5 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
