Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to see a wide range of local produce. I loved seeing all the fresh fish and seafood. There’s a nice cafe up on the second floor and a wide range of stalls selling all sorts of yummy treats.

A good option to walk around if it’s raining!

Arguably the heart of Cork's retail heart. An ideal place to find all of your High Street needs from budget right up to higher end fair. And dotted around are numerous cafes and eateries giving you ample opportunity for refreshments.
Something for everyone as you meander through the side streets and find your way around.
If in Cork, visit St Patrick Street

From the moment you walk into this church, wherever your vision takes you, a kaleidoscope of architecture and colour greets you. Architecturally astounding; stained glass windows, bedazzling; ceiling, captivating; marble, variegated.

A fabulous little gallery in the heart of Cork. Well worth a visit. The collection is over three floors and is small but beautifully done.
There is also a gorgeous little cafe called the green room - I had a coffee and a nicest slice of cake I've had in a long time! Staff lovely too 😊

My husband and I avail of any opportunity to visit this beautiful Venue. The intimate coffee/wine Dock is a welcome stop off before the Cinema. The patrons who visit appear to have a genuine appreciation of the arts, as there is no popcorn munching, unwrapping of sweets or mobile phone intrusions. The City Centre venue makes for convenience and the staff are always helpful and pleasant. We look forward to receiving the weekly Schedules so that we can plan our next visit.

The staff here was super helpful and gave us great recommendations on things to do and how to use the public transport. The guy we talked to seemed to be genuinely proud of his community and like he enjoyed sharing it, which is always nice to see and a good feeling. If you've got free time in Cork and you're not sure how to spend it, you should swing by and get some pointers.

Beautiful church with Harry Clarke windows. Peaceful and prayerful atmosphere. Mass at 7.30 in the evening with the Capuchin priests. Worth a visit

Came here on my honeymoon to light a candle for my grandpa. Happy it was open and empty. It's a big, beautiful church with a lot of ornate work on the inside. It felt very peaceful and I was able to say some prayers. There is St. Anthony's Store right across the street if you want to get religious gifts/items.

I visited the Spa today for a full body massage. The robe didn't fit me so I asked for a bigger one and was told they are all one size. I was very disappointed by this and felt very uncomfortable. There is a larger community than myself and I feel there should be robes for all different shapes and sizes to ensure everyone feels comfortable. I had to wear a towel under my robe while waiting to be collected by my therapist which wasn't comfortable at all. This was the only down side of my visit today. I used the vitality suite and steam room before my treatment. It was lovely and warm and a very clean area. My therapist was Donna and I couldn't have asked for someone nicer. She came and collected me and explained what treatment I would be having. She then asked afew questions to make sure it was customised to my liking. The massage was so relaxing and she was so polite and it was lovely to have a chat with her. While opening up I expressed my disappointment with the robe sizing. She went into her cupboard in her room and pulled out a robe that fit me. This really put me at ease as I was able to go to the relaxation room wearing a closed robe. She brought me to the relaxation room and brought me lemonade and fruit this was lovely and she even went and got me a bottle of water and some ice I really appreciated this. I would like to return to the spa but would only do so if there was a robe to accommodate me as this really embarrassed me today and made me feel uncomfortable. I would highly recommend Donna to others and she was the highlight of my visit today. Thank you Donna you are a complete gem and a huge asset to the team!!

Damien is incredible and a great leader. You don’t need to know anyone, as long as you are willing to try something new he will keep you coming back. Great dancing, great music, great people and great fun.

Stopped by late afternoon (party of 16) to get a pint or two. Great decor and selection of drinks. The staff were the hi-lite of this visit. Sofia and Dylan were absolutely the best. Friendly, funny and explained the different beers and gins and whiskeys. The twenty-somethings had a great time trying different drinks while the "mature" members of our group enjoyed the interactions between the bartenders and our group.

I visited St Augustine's Church this morning and stayed for the 11am service as I had time on my hands. It is indeed a long while since I attended mass. However, I really enjoyed the experience. The Service was delivered by a lovely priest who told the story of St Monica and her son St. Augustine. I never had heard this story before this.
The Service was peaceful and welcoming and when I am in Cork again, I will certainly attend another service there. I believe, tomorrow is the feast day of St. Augustine. I wish I was in Cork to attend.

This monument was not the traditionl war memorial usually erected in towns to remember their dead soldiers from WW I and II. Instead, it was a memorial to commemorate IRA freedom fighters from the 1798 rebellion whose leader had been Wolte Tone. His statue appeared at one corner of the memorial and showed him dressed in civilian clothes. The plaque made the purpose of this memorial, erected in 1906, quite clear - to encourage others to keep fighting for Irish independence. Wolfe Tone is remembered as the founder of the IRA and a patriot.

The memorial is located at the foot of Grand Parade and South Mall street (along the river) - just a short walk from the English Market. Around the memorial were multitiered planters filled with eye catching colorful petunias. A good photo stop.
