Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I avail of any opportunity to visit this beautiful Venue. The intimate coffee/wine Dock is a welcome stop off before the Cinema. The patrons who visit appear to have a genuine appreciation of the arts, as there is no popcorn munching, unwrapping of sweets or mobile phone intrusions. The City Centre venue makes for convenience and the staff are always helpful and pleasant. We look forward to receiving the weekly Schedules so that we can plan our next visit.

THe best littel theatre in Cork. So warm and welcoming. Food available at lunchtime (soup and sandwiches) and drinks in the evening. It has a great programme and is so comfortable.

Nice performance venue for dancing and singing. Acoustics are good except a bit too loud (maybe sitting in fourth row near stage was the cause). Seats are reasonably comfortable, but very firm. You do not want to sit for more than 11/2 hours without an intermission.

I'll get straight to the point on this one. Decent venue but they seriously need to sort out the service at the bar. After waiting at least 15 /20 minutes at the counter for our first drink, we decided it would be wise to order 2 of everything rather than waste more time during the gig. No problem for me drinking pints but the vodka and gin drinkers were told they couldn't get doubles so each person had to get 2 singles. Still trying to figure out the rationale behind this but fair enough, if that's their policy.
Gig started soon afterwards and all went well until about an hour into it. Glasses were in need of a refill so 3 of the 5 of us went to the bar again. Half an hour later (not exaggerating) they arrived back saying it was impossible to get served and suggested we leave. As we were enjoying the band, I decided to give it a try myself but even though it wasn't that busy and I managed to get right up to the bar, I wasted another 15 minutes with my elbows on the bar trying to figure out who WAS actually getting served 'cause it certainly wasn't me or the guys either side of me who said they'd been there 25 minutes.
That was enough for us. The band were still playing but we decided to move on somewhere we could actually get a drink as midnight curfew was in place so time was valuable.
This place seriously needs to either put another bar/bigger bar in place or get more staff. I fully appreciate that it's hard to get experienced staff right now but don't expect your customers to waste their nights waiting at the bar. And we were definitely not the only ones unhappy with the situation on the night.
Sorry for the negative review as I'd love to support any venue doing live music but I'd be reluctant to go back anytime soon.

A really enjoyable evening, the acting and music was great and a really fun way of hearing the history of Cork. The cast were very friendly and chatty before and after the performance get there if you can.

The bar is well organised, there are plenty of toilets, well maintained. The location is excellent. A good spot for a gig.

Our extended family visited this theatre (28 of us ) including teenagers for a tribute night. The singalong Sunday songbook. The show was excellent but the theatre itself fascinating. The interior architecture brings you straight back in time to a long past ears. The ornamental gold paint on deep red backdrop is such that you feel undressed without a top hat and tails or a ball gown.
The admission may be a little high but the intimacy you feel with the performers is absolutely worth it.
The room is small by other theatre standards which gives you the feeling that the show is just for you.
The rest of the building is modern IE the bar but not so much as to clash.

The staff courteous to a fault and nothing too much trouble.

Without a doubt a great venue for a night out. We will be back

Another fabulous evening at the Panto. Though it was sold out , the management of people entering and leaving was super efficient . The Panto itself , Peter Pan was outstanding and appeals to both young and old. An absolutely brilliant evening

Bought the tickets on a whim, sat in plush seats for a very enjoyable couple of hours while we were taken on a whirlwind tour through history of Ireland in snippets of song, dance and story telling. And, you can have a pint during the show!

I've only been here once, for a production of Beckett's 'Play', but I thought the piece worked really well in the space. It's functional, not pretty, intimate and presumably quite versatile in terms of what it can host. Certainly a very necessary type of venue for a city like Cork, for things too modest to go into the Opera House.

It was such a funny night! I had no ideas what to expect but these guys have serious talent to be able to think on the spot and still be hilarious is amazing. I definitely recommend going as it is something different and entertaining to do in Cork.

I'm not too sure about this pub. I have been here a couple of times. They do have some good selection of beers. However it is always crowded and it's very hard to hear the other person if one visits this pub as a group.
There are hardly any seats as well

I went to my first ever comedy gig last night in the Everyman - and this group did not disappoint! The range of topics and acts were great and the performers ability to tell stories and keep the crowd happy was brilliant. I really enjoyed my night I cannot thank the crowd more. Can't wait for the next show - if you like myself want something different to do in Cork this is definitely the way to go! Brilliant value for money too - 10 bucks for a great night!!! well done guys. Great to support such a wonderful crowd.
