Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was well worth it! Ana was such a dynamite tour guide and a wealth of information. Loved the colorful history of the area, as well as the castle and family. Due to the small group and the lack of crowds during the off-season, she was able to personalize the tour since there were only three of us. I never expected the beauty of seeing the castle grounds and gardens covered in a fresh layer of frost. Would love to see the gardens in full spring bloom one day

Kerry did an outstanding job on this tour! It was fun, delicious, perfectly paced (neither rushed nor bogged down with waiting), and informative. We learned much about fascinating Cork history as we jumped from vendor to vendor to sample cheeses, sausages, amazing breads, chocolates, meat pies, and of course Irish coffee. At nearly every stop we spoke with the owners and makers themselves.

Pickings will be slim for vegans (vegetarians won’t starve) and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with mobility issues. Those caveats aside, this was a must-do in Cork, esp. if you’re lucky enough to tour with Kerry, a Cork native and a delightful, witty guide.

Jack gave us the most interesting insight into Cork. We highly recommend a tour of Cork with Jack. Wow - the history of this little town is so deep and amazing. It is such a great experience to walk through it with someone from the area that can capture the biggest picture of it all while still enlightening you to the current action. Jack met us right on time, maximized our experience - from the past to the present … all while it rained and stopped and rained again. Make sure to get music recommendations - Jack told us about some great local music spots.

We had a great day trip visiting the 3 castles. Alec was a great guide giving us bits of history and telling stories along the way. He recommended nice shops and good places to eat. I enjoyed this tour a great deal!

During a recent trip to France we spent one day in Chartres. It was probably the best day of the trip. We had dinner in the Tomate&Piment restaurant
on Avenue Jehan de Beauce in the city centre. Brilliant experience. Louis-Martin greeted us and even though they were busy and we did not have a reservation, he accommodated us at the upper level. Great food, casual but excellent dining. Great buzz about the place. Louis-Martin was a fabulous host. I cannot recommend the place highly enough and I would love to call in there again if I ever find myself in Chartres. You won't do better in Chartres!
