Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a great tour the top reason to visit Ireland is castle's we visited 3 they were great make sure at the blarney you go to the stone first. The guide driver I think his name was Noel was great at keeping us on time so we could get the most out of the trip.

Phenomenal tour with the most beautiful sights along the way. John our driver made the day so very enjoyable. Very knowledgeable, pleasant and funny. Had plenty of time to stop for breaks, food and LOTS of photo opportunities. A must do.

We did a 6 day tour of all Ireland. Dan was a fantastic driver and tour guide and did his very best to accommodate our requests. 6 days on a bus can be hard, especially one as large as this one - but the sites were all worth it.

The drawback on the trip was the accommodations. You get what you pay for and considering how inexpensive the trip is, do not expect 5 star accommodations. Our first three nights were great but the trips to smaller towns had us in B&B's which were a little rough for wear for 2 nights. Do NOT do the backpacker version if you can afford it! Lots of people who did it said the accommodations were rough for the backpacker version.

Other than that great trip and worth the experience!

The ground around castle are very pretty. There is a lot of shopping there also but a visit to the castle can take up a good part of the day Long lines to enter and longer lines if you want to kiss the blarney stone

We took the tour to Cork with Richard O’Brien. He was an excellent guide. He unfortunately had an issue with one of the guests that kind of put a damper on the whole trip. Richard did a good job dealing with it while keeping the rest of us going forward. His knowledge and information was very helpful with our trip. Gave lots of little antidotes and placed we should visit here in Ireland.

The tour was a wonderful experience. Tour guide DJ was fun and informative. Thankful our driver Wayne who navigated some narrow roads and tight turns got us there and back safe. The Cliffs were incredible to experience and my only reason for the 4 star is that I think we needed more time to explore the park. The lunch was really good at Fitz’s Pub. We enjoyed the Barron on Galway bay but would have been better if we skipped that stop to have more time on the Cliffs.

I waited two years to come to Ireland .it was so worth it. we saw alot and did alot. Alex was a amazing tour guide he explained the history of the places and the areas that we were in which i loved. My only suggestion is be prepared to be flexable as it says in the itinerary and wear good sturdy shoes..I saw tooo many people in slippers and slides. The cliffs of Mohor were amazing if you get the chance do the boat ride as well. Dingle was great Killarney and the National park was beautiful

Tour Guide Brian D was fabulous. Knowledge was first rate and a great sense of humor with our group.
Trip was very detailed, very well set up and incredibly organized.
Great way to see Ireland without the hassle of driving on the wrong side:)

We're reviewing the actual rail your company, not the trains or other companies used. As for Rail Tours and Brian/Norman, I found the actual company to be doing the absolute best they could under challenging employment shortages.

When you're far from home and you book a tour like this, you want knowledgeable people to be in control and the Rail Tours guys are good at keeping things orderly and together.

I can imagine your guides finding it tough to connect with a new batch of people constantly, but both Brian and Norman were affable and clearly cared about making sure our time in Ireland was fun.

As for the buses and their use of other companies, you cannot expect them to have large enough groups at all times. Ireland has tiny, windy, bumpy side roads that will challenge any bus driver.

The structured nature of times attractions certainly helps you see many things in Ireland, but I'd probably strike out on my own if I visited again to really get into the back country for hiking.

Actually we enjoyed the interesting Best of Cork and Kerry Highlights as our guide accommodated our preferences! We had a terrific day exploring dramatic countryside and quiet villages while learning Irish history and gaining new insights into some of our own backgrounds in the States. We savored lunch of quiche and cottage pie with pints at a sidewalk café, were serenaded by street musicians while investigating local art and colorful woven goods shops for treasures to take home. It was a luxury to take our time where we wanted. The folks at MUNSTERBUS Tours know what they are doing and make lovely hosts for the homeland they love.

Fantastic tour - small group of 10 - 6 Americans, 3 Germans and I Irish gentleman. My husband and I enjoyed this tour so much. The small group was fantastic because we had some leeway in what we chose to do since our guide Hugh gave us a few options when possible. Hugh O'Reilly was the absolute best tour guide - so informative and shared so many stories. I learned so much from him and he even let us try out Hurling. We traveled July 29th through August 5th and had mostly beautiful sunny days. The weather is so nice - even when it's raining - it is perfect - mid 60's. Just layer going through the coast. The Irish coastline is absolutely gorgeous and pictures do not do it justice! We stayed 2 days in Dublin before and after the trip - I highly recommend that. We visited the town of Howth by train before the trip and had a Guinness tour after the trip. We stayed on the quieter side of the river before and at Temple Bar Inn after - wow talk about nightlife - it is active and both stays were well worth it. We even lost a cell phone before our tour but it did not diminish the experience at all. I cannot recommend Hugh enough - i will definitely look for his tours on our next trip to Ireland and I guarantee that we will have another one. Ireland Ireland was a perfect trip from the states as it was easy to get to - they speak mostly English, things are relatively cheap. The only thing I would say is that American Express is NOT accepted everywhere in Ireland (same as the US) so make sure you have an optional credit card. This tour gave us the beauty of the Castles, coastline and all the must-see's but also added some smaller things we wouldn't have done such as a sheep herding demonstration, chocolate stops and an evening of Irish Dancing.
And while you are there make sure you order a Baby Guinness - you won't be sorry! Saliente!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of wild Ireland. We would definitely recommend this company. We upgraded to B&B’s for our nightly accommodations and were very pleased with them. This can be a very active tour, if you do desire. Many opportunities for long and short hikes. Our guide Sean was fantastic. Shared many facts about Ireland and many times had the whole laughing. We would definitely travel with Irish Experience Tours again. Ireland and it’s people are beautiful!

Had a great time on our 4 day rail/bus tour. Brian was our guide through the week. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun. We were very lucky and had great weather all week. Everything in Ireland is beautiful. We got the chance to watch a sheep herding demonstration. It was very cool and amazing to see how it is done. On our ride back to Dublin Terrence was our guide. He was very nice and helped us arrive back safely. This is a wonderful company and I would recommend using them if you come to Ireland.

Was moved to tears at the beauty of God’s country. 🇮🇪 My guide Philip (sorry if it’s two “L”s!) was so fantastic. So kind and giving of his knowledge, wisdom, experiences and soul.
