Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Marge LWythall, UK256 contributionsWent here today to get some information on short walks with our dog. The assistant was very knowledgeable and helped me a lot describing various walks and drives on the island. We will take on board some of his suggestions over the next couple of days before we go home.Written 12 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hijockBellshill, UK79 contributionsWhat a wonderful place to visit. A truly hands on experience, the owners totally adore all their animals and it’s clear to see the animals adore them too. We held chickens, scratched the pigs backs and fed them, stroked the baby alpacas petted a huge sheep, learned all the animals names and all about their personalities
and just generally had an amazing time. It’s not a business, it’s not commercialised it’s just a fabulous place, the highlight of our visit to the island and memories that will stay with us for ever xWritten 4 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alasdair CNewcastle upon Tyne, UK40 contributionsAbsolutely fantastic information and advice from the very helpful Hannah and Beverley in the Tourist Info Centre. They could not have been more helpful in understanding what we wanted to do and suggesting a huge range of options with infectious enthusiasm -Written 27 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PonyUpMum225 contributionsVisited to buy some gifts to take home to extended family. Really good range of things to buy but the lady in the shop was lovely. Local knowledge was brilliant and really friendly and up for a chat. Lots of advice on where to take the kidsWritten 25 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bernie F5 contributionsFor a change I am starting with a negative. The clegs or some call horse fly's were a certain spoiler to the beautiful isle of Mull. The rest was fantastic. Pure white sands, clear sea, wildlife, and so so peaceful. As we traveled by motorhome the roads were to be desired but Mull have it sorted with lots of passing places. Remembering to give way to others especially when they are behind as they may not be on holiday. Toblemory is worth the visit and trips to Staffa value for money.

- Highlander1606Edinburgh, UK45 contributionsWhat was a good restaurant as part of the Aros Centre is now a pizza restaurant with a limited menu and fewer tables. A poor gift shop dominated by Skye Candles and no specialist book shop or deli as used to exist. I don’t think we’ll be going back I’m afraid.Written 30 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bunkry LoonStonehaven, UK299 contributionsIf you're on the island then you should definitely pop in. A huge range of souvenirs to suit all budgets, items made on the island too. Public toilets (expect to queue) and we enjoyed an ice cream on the benches outside enjoying the sunshine.Written 31 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
