It was a difficult hike as a person with mild hiking experience but persevering was worth it for the view!

Really enjoyed the experience on board. Everything as it was when the boat was decommissioned made it very interesting. Great self guided headset tour. Very interesting.

So interactive in all sections, for all ages. A lot of different sections to explore. A must if you have time in Edinburgh. My 7 year old boy, loved it, explored all things and learnt a lot.

The Old Town of Edinburgh is beautiful and exciting. You believe in a minute that you are back in 16th century. A lot to see there, a lot of activities to support the impression. And come here for the military tatoo and fringe in August!

Myself and my girlfriend visited Edinburgh for a long weekend in December 2018 for my 18th birthday, and one of the places we really wanted to go and see was Edinburgh Castle.
The admission price to get in is quite dear, but once you’re in, it really is worth the money.
Edinburgh Castle is not just any castle, it overlooks the city on top of an extinct volcano, and we can’t stress enough how incredible the views are from up top. The castle has had a massive influence on not only the kings and queens that called the castle home, but the city and country as a whole! It has also survived many major events in Scottish history and is very much a treasure to the Scottish people. Trust me, you’ll learn and find out lots!
We would’ve stayed longer than we did, only time was pretty limited! But I guess that’s all the more of a reason to go back.
Edinburgh Castle was by far the highlight of our trip to Edinburgh, and we think it should be at the top of every Edinburgh itinerary, without a question.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The camera Obscura itself is incredible in how sharp and detailed the images are. The other illusions and interactive exhibits are good fun and make for an amusing visit

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The palace is gorgeous and well-kept. The free audio guides that were provided were easy to use and informative. Loved that we could go at our own pace and enjoy each room.

Fringe week: Very busy but loads to see. Too many magicians for my liking but plenty of other great acts. No public toilets but you can go to the loos in any of the pubs or restaurants (30p to go in the train station) . Police and stewards on hand to help tourists. Go and sit inside the cathedral for a bit if you need some down time.
    Best city I have visited.

We attended a special tasting dinner package that included the Tattoo. It was a truly fun event. Full disclosure, I don't even drink, but found the information about the whiskeys to be very interesting and the food was great!

This is a lovely walk that takes you to a beautiful view. It's uphill, but nothing like the hike to Arthur's Seat. A nice place to just walk around and take in the view.

Excellent show full of surprises , with the theme of ‘voices ‘ this year everything in the show was perfection . Organisation second to none . One point, we missed the cannons this year. Photo depicts sunset over Edinburgh castle

LOVED our visit here. Such a huge, fabulously laid out botanic garden. I do a lot of work for a botanic garden down south - this was 100% better!

Great walks, wonderful plants and trees, the food and drink options available were fantastic. Brilliantly curated shop.

Would totally recommend this to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

We had a warm welcome from all the staff who were incredibly polite and professional. They directed us to each room, and within each room was a staff member who had lots of knowledge and can help expand yours. Once you have looked around the house there are 2 different garden trails you can walk on. Each trail had loads of exciting facts and viewpoints.
