Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Kayleigh MSouthampton, UK264 contributionsFirst time visiting here and I was in my element! There was so many places to try new foods, which I think was all reasonably priced! There is limited seating, but plenty of food to choose from!
There are some ‘viral’ eateries here also, including the Humble Crumble which was worth waiting for!
I will definitely return on my next visit to London!Written 19 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He made my Mum’s day making her laugh and telling her stories about the Shard and London itself. People like him truly make the experience what it is! He is a testament to you all at the Shard.
The bar staff were also fantastic and welcoming.
Thank you so much x

Your enthusiasm and love for The Globe was infectious and your knowledge and interesting asides were pure entertainment as well as educational. Being able to visit backstage and stepping out onto the stage itself - just wow!
This tour is something you have to do people! Just brilliant.Written 21 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Geo E1 contributionIt was okay and fun. I have nothing bad to say about this place, the actors were good and it's fun. The only thing I will say is that there is 0 point going here and also going to London dungeons. London Dungeons actors, stories, and whole general experience is far far superior and much more immersive. At similar prices I just don't see why you'd need to do both. Also one slight issue in my opinion is, for the jump scare part at the end they make you go in a line with your hand placed on the person in front of you 's back. Now this is clearly for safety as it is very dark and I totally understand the need for this but if you are not in the front third of the line then the jump scare is absolutely pointless as you know exactly when it is coming because you hear the others scream.Written 16 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Polaroids & Drinkin StoriesUnited States2,458 contributionsThe tape modern is a great way to spend a couple of hours checking out some interesting modern art. There are five floors of exhibits. Entry is free however there are some exhibits that require purchasing a ticket. I was only looking at the freegalleries on this visit. Everything is well organized and laid out. Due to the subject matter of some of the artwork, you might want to think twice about bringing little kids here, although they do have warnings before you walk into one of those exhibits.Written 14 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Review-er-er_erHouston, TX243 contributionsThis is a fun little museum, kind of hidden at the edge of the Borough Market area. It was a very easy walk from the Tower of London and decently priced.
I had an issue that kept me from visiting at the date and time scheduled via my prepaid ticket and they were very reasonable about working with me to change my ticket.
The Clink adds an extra layer of understanding of what things were like for those imprisoned in the London area once upon a time and had an interactive and mannequin theatricality that I feel the Tower of London definitely could have used.
It's pretty small and only took about an hour to read and play around with everything. There is even a fun free photo op at the end. One of those you pose, the timer counts down and the machine snaps the photo. Afterwards, you get a photo you can go online and download for free.
As there was no one behind me, I did take more than one.
While I wouldn't go to the area just for this exhibit; if in the area, I would definitely drop by.
In the area and within easy walking distance you also have:
- The Tower of London. (There are fantastic and reasonably priced Fish and Chips stands right outside, next to the on site box office.)
- The London Wall is right near the entry/exit of the Tower subway station
- Tower Bridge - quick and easy walk to and across from the Tower
- Jack the Ripper Museum
- The Borough
- All Hallows by the Tower
- St Dunstan in the East Church Garden
- Church of Saint Magnus the MartyrWritten 30 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Whether you're arriving from Heathrow or any part of the city, the journey to this stunning skyscraper offers a glimpse of London’s vibrant charm, and the views from the top are absolutely unbeatable.
When I pick up passengers heading to The Shard, I always recommend they take a moment to relax and enjoy the drive. The route itself is scenic, taking you through some of London’s most historic neighborhoods. For those traveling from Heathrow, the trip usually takes around 40 to 50 minutes, depending on traffic. We typically drive through the bustling streets of Southwark, and even as you approach The Shard, the towering structure stands out against the London skyline – a sight to behold!
One thing I appreciate about driving clients to The Shard is how easy it is to navigate around it. The location is well-served by major roads, so there’s no need to worry about getting stuck in unnecessary traffic. For those with tight schedules or early morning flights, One 10 Transfers makes it easy to get in and out of the area with ease, ensuring you're on time for any planned activities.
Now, let’s talk about the main attraction: The Shard itself. As one of the tallest buildings in Europe, its unique glass design offers panoramic views of London. Visitors can enjoy a 360-degree view from the 72nd floor, where the observation deck provides a perfect photo opportunity. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Thames River and beyond, taking in landmarks like St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, and even as far as Canary Wharf.
For those looking to elevate their experience, I highly recommend dining at one of The Shard’s exquisite restaurants. Whether it’s the elegant views from Aqua Shard or the contemporary dining at Hutong, there’s something for everyone. As a chauffeur, I’m happy to take care of any restaurant reservations or provide assistance with the best spots for lunch or dinner after your visit.
For travelers who are new to London, The Shard also offers easy access to other major attractions, such as Borough Market, which is just a short walk away. It’s a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat or explore the local shops, adding even more value to your visit.
The ride to The Shard with One 10 Transfers ensures you get there in comfort and style. We provide premium vehicles with plenty of space, climate control, and Wi-Fi, making the journey comfortable and seamless. Whether you're visiting The Shard for the view, the restaurants, or simply to admire its beauty from the ground, it's a must-see destination.
If you're looking for a relaxing, stress-free way to visit The Shard, I highly recommend using a chauffeur service like One 10 Transfers. It’s the perfect way to start or end your London adventure. From the ride to the experience itself, it’s an unforgettable journey that every traveler should consider.
Tip: Don’t forget your camera! The views from the top of The Shard are some of the best in London, especially at sunset or after dark when the city lights up.Written 20 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rebecca c126 contributionsAmazing place, very thought provoking and interesting -real effort to engage the whole family with such a range of exhibits. You could spend hours here reading every article. There’s an activity area and reflection area, as well as many interesting exhibits.
Learnt lots about the history of medicine and some really inspiring historical figures and the role they played in helping develop medical care and assist the poorest of society.
Loved the elf trail, we had such a laugh with it- absolute kudos to whomever came up with it, such a fun but also informative activity.Written 18 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I visited with one other player and I have to say it was the MOST fun. It took a bit of getting used to the headset but the games were as per the show and quite challenging but also great. The man who welcomed us was very friendly and I would like to go back and try it again as soon as possible! Thank you.Written 8 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Louis CecileLondon, UK595 contributionsHay's Galleria provides shopping and dining experiences at the typical overpriced London costs. It regularly has stalls for traders offering unique gifts and an annual Christmas market. The Christmas market is great for photo opportunities and enjoying festive treats at a cost. Hay's Galleria provides plenty of photo opportunities. It is good for walking and seeing if you are lucky enough to find a bargain for shopping or dining.Written 23 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SupersupergirlEngland, UK8,635 contributionsCity Hall is a great place to visit.
The building has an interesting yet striking structure.
Inside, the architecture is quite nice but to go in you have to go past security but once you are in you're ok.
Ended up having lunch there as well.Written 23 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Travelaround59London, UK2,053 contributionsNice museum in a hip location in a nice building.
The museum is small but the exhibitions are always interesting and the Biba one was definitely eye opening to understand the designer behind Biba…very nice indeed. I was rather surprised to have to wait because of the “crowds” so maybe next time I will book in advance.Written 9 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
