Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a good one day trip out to distant sites. You won’t get a lot of time at any of them but what can you expect in just one day! The time you do get was adequate to see the State Apartments and St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, the stones at Stonehenge with a brief walkthrough of the museum exhibit, and the Roman Baths at Bath. Independently you’d have to take at least 2 days to do them and you’d have to drive your self. Godfrey was knowledge and organized. The bus was comfortable. Tips: Ask for the wifi at the beginning. Bring cold snacks, no hot food allowed on board, there is no built in time for meals. It’s a long ride back to London at the end, bring entertainment.

The bus from central London was a longer journey than we expected. Some seats you could watch a movie to pass the time. When you arrive it was easy getting through security. The queue wasn't to long either. Great exhibition for all Harry Potter/J K Rowling fans.

The tour and all were great. Bus trip, not so comfortable. I would take a private car. The staff was great as well. Would go again.

The tour was well organised and efficient. Toby James, our tour guide was excellent when our two teenagers didn’t return to the bus on time and he found them again remaining calm and professional while mum panicked a little. Thanks for all your efforts during the tour.

We are riding back from our day tour of Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath. Lovely day trip. Oliver, our tour guide was personable and informative, giving us facts and bits of history along the way and clear to hear and understand. Sokal, our driver was great. The drive was smooth and felt safe even through a point of very heavy rains. The tours were amazing but I think cramming three into a day felt a bit rushed for us. I would definitely recommend people looking to consider your wants and needs and split them up if you can.

By the time we got into Windsor Castle after getting there early to be first tour group in line and wait an hour in the rain (not the tour or guides’ fault but people were clearly unhappy thinking we were going right in when we got there), we only had about 45-50 minutes to explore before having to get back to the bus. We were speed walking through rooms and listening to random tour info as we went but didn’t take any time to stop moving and take it all in. If you just want to pop in to see it and say you were there or just walk the perimeter , that works but we could have honestly spent a whole day there and still probably feel like we needed to see more as well as extra time to explore the town around.

Stonehenge will vary from person to person what you get out of it. It’s a distance of a drive and we got there, walked to the entrance and took a bus up to the site, walked there and spent about 10 minutes max looking and taking pics and were on our way back to the bus. We had enough time to look in the shop, grab a coffee and snack, hit the restroom and get back to our bus, The drive leaving Stonehenge was gorgeous and got to see lots of sheep, cows and pigs along with some historical military buildings and old villages and beautiful countryside.

Bath was definitely a gem and another spot we could have spent a lot more time at! We didn’t feel as rushed here, the Roman baths and surrounding area were very interesting and historical. Tons of amazing artifacts to see and explore. We got through with plenty of time to walk around the town after and grab a hot chocolate and cookie at Mrs. Potts on our way back to the bus and then stopped at a liquor store to sample some meads and drinks and grab some bottles while waiting for the bus.

The ride between locations and ride back definitely gives time to kick back and nap or whatever you would like to do. Overall, we had a fantastic day but if I had looked or known more before, definitely would have split it up or maybe it was just a sampling for knowing what to do on a future trip.

The tour was fantastic. James is a top notch tour guide……one of the best we have ever had ……and Sunny really drives that bus so well ….. it was a delight. Great day in England. Loved every minute of it. Learned so much about ‘coin phrases’ and lots of ‘fun fact’ history. Thanks again, James and Sunny. You two were really wonderful!

Kevin the Tour Guide was exceptional in his presentation of the History of England and the information about the locations we were at. He was knowledgeable, professional and most generous with his time. His ability to communicate with us in English and Japanese was very beneficial. The Tour was A very good experience for me.

The bus ride from London to Stonehenge took 2 hours. They provided us with a snack that included a sandwich, chips, apple, fruit bar, cookies, and a water. That was a nice touch. However, the bus ride was long and boring. To be expected. Once we arrived, I enjoyed visiting Stonehenge and feel like we had ample time to walk around and view the area. We took the shuttle vs the walking path so we were not pressed for time. We also had time to visit the gift shop and look at the artifacts. It was cold so we grabbed a hot chocolate but were not allowed to take it on the bus (even though someone had a coffee on the drive to Stonehenge). This is a one time experience. The weather was beautiful and I am glad we went.

We had a wonderful experience traveling with our guide John on a 16-person trip from London to Oxford and the Cotswalds. While there was much to see, we easily accomplished our personal goals for exploring key places, seeing some beautiful places, and grabbing a bite at one of the many restaurants and cafes along the way. John was personable and regaled us with fascinating history and unexpected details. He was also terrific at keeping us organized and on time and yet attentive to individual needs where we could take our own paths. We didn’t know what exactly to expect but were very pleased with the outcome and would definitely work with Robbie’s again on another excursion.

Thank you Chris and Nohl for an amazing time in Stonehenge, Bath, and a Secret Place. The tour was customized to the personality of the group, and these two fit right in immediately with our travelers. This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip for many of us, and we came away with treasured memories. I highly recommend The English Bus for tours! 10 stars!

Lilly was our tour guide for a family trip of 10 to the Cotswalds and Bath. She was absolutely wonderful! Her sing song voice and quick wit made the trip even more enjoyable! She was full of fun and lots of knowledge about London and of course the Cotswolds and Bath! I highly recommend her and the English Bus company for a wonderfully fun and informative time! Also, the bus, Winston, was very spacious and well equipped.

Expert guide in Dave, gave interesting historical tidbits on the way there and back.
The castle tour itself is grand, however, I would recommend to do this on one’s own time, and not be tied to timing of a group, as there is too much to see and process in the allotted time.
Also, as we chose Sunday for our visit, the chapel was off limits to visitors. That’s on me.
