Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Yi-Chun G3 contributionsNice little exhibition, it is informative. We paid extra to use the VR which was brilliant, otherwise, the exhibition wasn't that much of an"immeresed" experience. The scanner of the colouring corner didn't work when we were there.Written 2 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Matt S1 contributionI recently visited with my 8 year old daughter, who loved it (5 stars in her eyes) and I really enjoyed it too. There are essentially 5 large areas that you progress through after the "ferry ride". 2 have the "live" dinosaurs that you can freely view, 1 is a research station and dig area (with two baby dinosaurs held by the rangers), 1 is the raptor training mini-drama and finally the t-rex interactive event.
We went when it was quiet (weekday evening) so we had lots of time and space, but we still had the issues with queuing that lots of people have faced. We didn't have to queue outside, but once we passed the research centre we had a near 40 minute wait with no updates.
It's all obviously just live theatre with dinosaurs, so up until the point of the queuing it had been fantastic. The ferry ride at the start really set the scene, and then walking through the gates into the first "paddock" with the theme playing was my highlight (pretty much worth the money just for that). But, the 40 minute queue took us all out of it and there were no staff updates or any kind of info. I'd advise asking when the raptor area will open and just go back to the first area and enjoy the dinos more (I wish we had done that instead of just standing around).
The only other negative, and it isn't something I would normally point out, is that a few of the staff weren't really talking it seriously. Some, such as the research centre guys, were and it made a big difference. The t-rex event at the end was great, but again the staff let it down a bit with very over the top shouting and hokey acting that was just distracting. Some of the rangers acted like, well, rangers and some acted like drama students having a laugh with their mates. The T-Rex event could have used a much shorter script, less shouting and someone who could actually act.
It's been a long review so far, but don't let my negative words put you off. There's only a few weeks left for it in Manchester so we might even go again because we might never get another chance.Written 6 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It has a lot of photos from behind the scenes, and some green screen experiences.
The crew is super-helpful and all-knowing as far as Harry Potter trivia goes, and there's a photographic treasure hunt which really enhances the experience.
All in all, it's a great way to pass a couple of hours and enjoy a butter beer :)Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nathan is so creative and there is some incredible work on display. Fans of Lego must see this. May even inspire you to appreciate more art ;)Written 30 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- affy_federerLondon, UK1,618 contributionsWow!!! this was an enjoyable experience. It could take up to an hour as you are sometimes waiting for people to move on so you can take photos. Yes, there are lots of photo opportunities and there is Rachel‘s room and Chandler‘s room. There was also the café we had a really great time here and it was easy to get to. Must go if you are a massive Friends fan, then this is definitely place that you should be visiting!! There is a time slot.Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Aline W2 contributionsThe Museum itself was a good experience however, I lost my mobile at the ball pit and they said they would contact at the end of the exhibition and they never did. They should have a lost property place where we could collect pur belonging at the end of the exhibition, however it seems they kept it for themselves. I wonder what they do with so many lost mobiles at the ball pit. I’m very fristrated with them keeping something that doesn’t belong to them. I live far from London and they said they would contact me but they never did. I send an email and they never replied.Written 21 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Reasonable50Greenwich, Connecticut3,665 contributionsWe happened upon the event while strolling. Fun and modern. Lots of young people and families. The Somerset House is the perfect venue. It was crowded and exhibits went deep into the bowels of the House. The scented wallpaper room was our favorite.Written 22 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Trail402678773811 contributionHaving experienced Titanic Belfast this was rather disappointing. Mainly lots of reading boards, artefacts from sister ship etc. Did like the boarding pass idea with info on back and the video clips. I would also like to recommend that entry is for children over a certain age as our visit was completely spoiled by a screeching baby the whole way through.......why would you take a baby to this?! 😖Written 24 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - munchkin1150Waterlooville, UK305 contributionsThe exhibit was well laid out, with each space flowing well into the next.
You can see from older to the new Batman movie props, the best part for me being the villains section.
The 3 rooms in the middle leading to the villains section are the joker, riddler and poison ivy which give a little thrill before moving on.
A little expensive for the length of the exhibit but enjoyed just the same.Written 6 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I think I counted 17 rooms each with it's own unique and immersive experience. One of the best value experiences in London and close to the vibrant Borough Market. Just go!Written 17 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Robert DNorth Berwick, UK16 contributionsIt's cost me 24 pounds today in Edinburgh to see Van Gogh Alive .
I thought it was ok at best ,non art enthusiasts may enjoy it more , some of the moving animation imposed onto his paintings were quite good ,
The sunflower room was a waste of time .
The concept didn't work for me , big screens everywhere showing much of the same thing ,and the images were not very good quality .
Far better to stage it as a documentary in a single screen arena with narration
to educate the audience .
I stayed for 1 hour , for families the Zoo or cinema would be a better deal.Written 11 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. What a great exhibition, his humour, early barefaced cheek and spot on political commentary, are even more engaging than I ever expected.
I went off peak at 12.30, though the staff let me in earlier than my ticket time as I was early. It was a leisurely stroll through the two floors and gift shop though there were guided parties which can be done by Banksy experts.
I highly recommend this exhibition to anyone who loves Banksy and his work, Some of his quotes written on the walls were as priceless and cutting as his artworks.
The three photos I've included are all visible from the pavement so I've not shared anything I shouldn't - you are able to take photos anyway which surprised me but I took some beauties.
Nearest tube is Piccadilly Circus {Piccadilly & Bakerloo lines} though as I was early I strolled from Green Park {Victoria, Jubilee & Piccadilly lines} catching the Fortnum & Mason Clock chimes at noon en route.Written 6 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The queues were a little long and caused unnecessary delays in accessing exhibits.
The headsets are pretty unnecessary because there are not many exhibits with scanners and when they have a scanner you have to have the accuracy of a sniper to aim it in the correct place. Just read the subtitles.
If you have been to any of the following then you will have seen everything before, except Grosjean’s car which is remarkable to see for sure; Goodwood Festival of Speed (where the same cars actually move!), F1 museum Silverstone, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi or Mercedes Benz World.
I asked the kids, did we learn anything following our visit, no, apart from Mika Hakkinen died twice!
A bit disappointing overall, it could/should be far more interactive, especially for kids, there is literally 1 red button to press to judge your reaction speed. How about touching a steering wheel, a tyre, trying on a crash helmet etc?
I wouldn’t recommend the shop, £75 for a poster, seriously!
The staff were polite and well organised.
Overall it was ok, but has potential to be much better with a little more thought.
The Waterfront diner next door is great for lunch afterwards with the kids.Written 29 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - futtock21London, UK17,258 contributionsZari Gallery in Fitzrovia’s Newman Street promotes art ‘beyond borders’ with reference to a manifesto. This proclaims it has a diverse, inclusive and worldly selection of artists. These include Anthony Christian who paints fleeing and fleeting figures nude beneath their togas, Robert John who paints minute figures atop angular rooftops of vast modern buildings, and Yurim Gough who makes pots which double up as commodes and bells. The current exhibition is by Marion Farnon Christian, you’ve guessed it, the wife of Anthony, called Tying Secrets to Poetry. She creates abstract images tied to the natural world including a painting of a ceramic chicken. Whether this exhibition of her works might lay her a golden egg remIns to be seen.Written 2 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
