Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- rosebugbeds4,228 contributionsIt's been a while since my last visit, but it was good to be back. The Crazy Coqs usually offers 2 shows a night, 7pm and 9.15pm. The doors open around 30 -40 mins before the show, which tends to last around 80 minutes. There is table service for drinks and nibbles. The art deco space resembling a cruise ship lounge is beautiful. Seating is mainly bistro chair/tables in the centre and round the stage, with some banquette seating around the walls. There is a varied programme of music, comedy and cabaret, and shows are excellent value. We had a fabulous night. Reelin' in the Dan were really good and played 15 mins over their time, feeding from the appreciation of the audience, I think. We'll be back.Written 21 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

I know London prices are expensive, but £12 for a canned cocktail and a packet of crisps, which included a 10% discount for ordering in advance, was ludicrous. Also the table seats at the front were very cramped.
Other than that, the venue is well run. A quite large foyer with areas to sit and stand. The opening of the doors of the various rooms is announced clearly over loudspeaker. And the quality of the acts put on speaks for itself.Written 23 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Sadly this last one was quite disappointing as the acts were to be very similar. Don't get me wrong some of them were very very clever but didn't really rate the comedian/act very much. We took friends as we have had such a positive experience before and didn't feel they enjoyed it very muchWritten 6 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Russell MLondon, UK6 contributionsAlways a terrific show tunes singalong night. The bar has been renamed from Louche to Greek Street Live (5 Greek Street) and the upstairs bar singalong is now called The Room Where It Happens (not Overtures). Odd to rename, but still great fun with great pianists. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.Written 25 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Aoifeengland7 contributionsWent on a Saturday night through a promoter I know and got on guestlist. However, from previous clubs like this unless the promoter is there to greet you and bring you in, you will probably have to pay entry. So after paying £20 to get in (did ask the girl on the door but she said 'it's a Saturday night it's £20', wasn't going to argue because she didn't approach me as a friendly type. Honestly, it was very overcrowded and the idea to get loads of girls in backfires when it ends up being a club of 80% girls and hardly any guys. It's great for the free drinks, so unless you're getting that I would go somewhere else 100% as if I was sober I would of left after 20 minutes. It's also pretty posey and pretentious which I was aware of already and I'm not overly keen on but can deal with it, but if you're not a fan of that stay well away. Wouldn't go back unless the promoter was there and got free entry because paying £20 when I'm a student isn't so appealing.Written 18 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gina_av11London, UK11 contributionsWent with my family for my dad's birthday celebration and we really weren't sure what to expect because of the 'cabaret' and 'extravaganza' titles - was it going to be a series of theatrical songs with outlandish costumes, would it be more like a musical with a story or a dance-along show...?
Well. we were blown away! It was really more like a musical but in an intimate venue. What we loved the most was that all the dancers were Indian and from Mumbai and all of them, world class. There was truly spectacular choreography interspersed with humour and audience participation, it was superb and non-stop entertainment.
Staff were fab, all dancing & singling along (even in Hindi!) and nothing was too much to ask them - in particular a shout-out to the lovely Rasheedat for looking after us so well and making my dad's birthday even more special.
If there is one complaint, it's a small one and that would be the food. Although delicious, it's not spectacular though supposedly prepared by a famous Indian chef and the quantity is very modest for the ticket price. Drinks are definitely pricey, even softs were very expensive which is bit cheeky given the ticket prices. However, we weren't overly bothered by this relatively small detail as the show is the main draw. Highly recommend seeing Mumbai Masal.Written 25 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went as a reasonably big group and all of us had the right amount of interaction & attention suited to our personalities. It is immersive theatre but also not forced or pushy- just a silly fun time. The actors are all great & not only stay in character the whole time - but crowd control whilst doing it , without it feeling weird , true pros!Written 3 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Teresa TRuislip, UK573 contributionsI went to the black cat cabaret at the cafe de Paris for a birthday a few years ago in london and had a fantastic time, this time round at Zedel i was not overly impressed. There were 4 of us sat at the smallest table. There was a juggler and 1 singer and a poet come singer the juggler was brilliant singers were ok but wasn’t much of a cabaret and nothing like cafe de Paris which was outstanding. I personally wouldn’t go again.Written 14 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Jennifer LBerlin, Germany27 contributionsThe dancers and dances were good as was orcestra. It was quite amazing . I was left breathless at several points. You should still be able to see, no matter which ticket you've paid for. I think I will come there again.Written 1 April 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Sam WLondon, UK1 contributionSome really great comedy in a lovely setting. Despite a few showers we stayed til the end as the line up was brilliant and there was a real feeling of intimacy between the acts and the audience. Would definitely go again!Written 16 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
