Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really cool bridge you can cross for free. They do have a museum that allows you to cross the upper portion and the pricing was pretty reasonable compared to the other London attractions in the area.

Stunning views in summer and freezing views in winter!!!
Walk across the suspension bridge to visit the Tate Modern from St Paul’s Cathedral. Opened in 2000, the stunning bridge is a photographers dream!

This iconic bridge connects the financial district of Bank with the famous Borough Market. Traversing the bridge is simple enough and it does not have grand features to view. However, it is a great spot for taking pictures of Tower Bridge and London at night. A must-visit for tourists.

Walking across Westminster Bridge is the quintessential London experience to take in the parliament, the river and sites in between. As with all London sites, beware pickpockets and card sharps.

Walk along both sides of the bridge to get the best views all around!

This is an important bridge crossing of the Thames linking The City (north) to South Bank (south). Designed by Joseph Cubitt in 1869 to replace an earlier 18th-century bridge, it features nine semi-elliptical stone arches. The bridge is for vehicle and foot traffic. I've enjoyed walking over the Blackfriars Bridge numerous times over the years. It is an enjoyable way to cross the river if while sightseeing around this area of the city.

Southwark Bridge an arch bridge in London, for traffic linking the district of Southwark and the City across the River Thames.
You can take nice photo of it from the Millennium Bridge.

One of the many Thames bridges in London. Perfect for tourists visiting Covent garden or entry to The Strand and equally excellent for those going to the South of the Thames to explore the riverside up to the new Battersea Power Station or in the opposite direction to Tower Bridge, both options offer you an amazing stroll along the River Thames and so many tourist stops but equally and historical tour of old London!!!. Other bridges offer easy access back across the river, you need a few days to explore!!!!. 100% check out Battersea Power Station an amazing refurb and a London landmark, Borough market, etc etc etc. Its a gateway to all the wonderful sites of London located on the south of the Thames!!!

It has to be one of the prettiest bridges in London and well worth the walk along the river to see it. I went to catch the sunset and wasn't disappointed. The walk down to it takes you through Battersea Park, which was a wonderful find, as I'd never been before. There are lots of places to stop along the way for a coffee, and near the bridge, there is a tiny little park area where you can sit to admire the view. I loved it and can't wait to go back again in the autumn months for another spectacular sunset.

    PROS
    * Interesting structure with wire-like spikes
    * Prime location providing grand views in both directions
    * Pedestrian only

    CONS
    It can be crowded

    "I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... because it was there when I was walking from Houses of Parliament and Westminster Bridge towards the Tate Modern Museum. I came across it, so I went up and walked on it, but continued my journey on the side side of the River Thames.

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
    It is free

WOULD "I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?
If I was walking here again, I would take a photo of it for tripadisor and walk onto it

    ADVICE
    * If you are here, then see it, admire it, take a photo, maybe go onto it, and then move on

The area is impressive to visit, to see how the canal now sits alongside the modern structures and adds to the ongoing changes in london and it’s suburbs. While there we enjoyed seeking out both the bridges ( the fan bridge is a minute away ) after watching them in action on you tube.

One of the fine bridges of London city which allows you to walk or drive for crossing the Thames river. Many famous buildings around such as MI5, American Embassy even Victoria or Waterloo are just few minutes walk away.

Used the bridge multiple times during the coronation weekend staying in the Novotel hotel. It’s not as grand as the Westminster bridge but the view down the Thames and of the Parliament and Lambeth Palace are a treat. It’s also less busy than it’s neighbouring bridge.

Chelsea Bridge is located near to Battersea Power Station. It’s a nice old bridge but certainly not as interesting as Albert Bridge up the road.

Fan Bridge which was unveiled in 2014 is a three metre wide cantilevered moving structure crossing the eastern end of Paddington basin. Designed by Knight Architects it rises in four parts by hydraulic jacks forming a fan shape above the water and which are currently operated Wednesdays and Fridays at 12 noon.

I really like this bridge, which is open for pedestrians and cyclists only - a beautiful, quiet place which lets you cross the river and enjoy the views. The bridge itself is beautiful - hopefully it will be repaired but kept closed for cars.
